Chapter 11
Three days later, 1 filed for divorce with all my collected evidence.
When Ryan received the papers, he stood outside with a megaphone, crying and shouting:
“Honey, I was just temporarily insane!”
“You’re the only one I’ll ever love! I know I was wrong please forgive me!”
My helpful neighbors called the police.
The officers removed him for disturbing the peace.
When the soft approach failed, he took to social media, painting himself as an abandoned
husband, claiming I’d gotten rich and found someone new.
Talk about a thief crying “stop thief!”
He tried using public opinion to change my mind, but Jade ruined his plan.
She posted inflammatory comments:
“My man’s wife Claire has two properties but no job – totally dependent on men. Wonder which rich guy gave her those apartments? If she can’t keep her man satisfied, don’t blame him for straying!”
“Breaking news: I’m pregnant! Send your congratulations!”
Their drama perfectly tied everything together.
Jade herself had confirmed Ryan as a cheating scumbag.
As for their accusations against me? Everyone saw them as desperate dogs lashing out.
A top comment summed it up: “Congratulations to the wife for escaping this mess. Let’s make sure these two trash humans stay together and don’t ruin anyone else’s life!”
It was through the online drama that I learned Ryan had recently earned a major

promotion at his construction project.
His boss was planning to give him a raise and advancement.
But this idiot, thinking with the wrong head, immediately used his project bonus to set up his mistress right under my apartment for convenient access.
After their affair went public, the promotion evaporated instantly due to the scandal.
Even worse, the publicity made senior management suspicious of Ryan’s character. They audited his projects and discovered all his supposedly perfect buildings were actually cutting corners with substandard materials!
Now he wasn’t just losing his promotion – he was facing criminal charges and prison time!
I continued releasing evidence of their affair from my perspective as the wronged wife.
And let’s not forget my father isn’t just any real estate developer. His connections run deeper than I imagined.
One phone call from him, and Ryan’s company CEO was falling over himself to prove his loyalty, promising to throw the book at Ryan.
Ryan lost everything, fast.
His promising career? Gone. His reputation? Destroyed. Legal troubles? Mounting.
I showed no mercy, kicking him out immediately.
After the divorce, I didn’t just lie around in my father’s gift apartment. I stepped into a
wider world.
Growing up in foster care meant I’d missed educational opportunities. Now I seized my chance, took the adult education exam, and got into a good university.
After graduation, my business instincts led me to invest and start my own successful
company.
Seeing my thriving career, my father looked at me proudly:

“When I think about accidentally losing you as a child, knowing you suffered so much… I

feel terribly guilty. I didn’t dare hope for too much I just wanted you to have a stable life, that’s why I gave you the building. I never imagined you’d build such an impressive career of your own.”
I held his large hands in mine, declaring proudly: “I am your daughter how could I be anything less than exceptional?”
Years later, I heard that after Ryan lost everything in the divorce, he served three years for
the construction fraud.
After prison, he was blacklisted in the industry. No one would hire him, even for basic labor. He ended up begging on street corners.
As for Jade, being a woman of loose morals, she had only herself to blame for trusting the
wrong man.
After Ryan went to prison, she aborted their baby and returned to her old lifestyle. Who
knows if some other fool will rescue her from that life.
Today, I stand in my penthouse office, looking out over this vast city.
I know my real new life is just beginning.
