It seemed that my chersion was wiped clean in that moment.
I walked over, picked up the condoms, and said, “Aaron, go. I don’t blame you. From now on, we owe each other nothing.”
“Silas, I don’t want that.” He grabbed my wrist, slapping his own face. “You can get your revenge, just don’t abandon me.”
I yelled at him, hit him, cursed him, but he didn’t react.
I smiled softly, walked over, and linked my arm with Archie’s. “Okay, follow me.”
His gaze dimmed instantly.
But he still followed me, step by step.
Once we got home, I pushed Archie into my bedroom, and saw Aaron sneering. “Make us some late–night snacks. We’ll be burning energy soon.”
The sounds of moans soon filled the room.
It took a little over two hours to watch the movie. By the time I came out, Aaron had already left. There
was a bowl of cold noodles on the table.
I smiled silently.
We no longer disturbed each other, and that was the best ending.
But I didn’t expect that Aaron would go even crazier than I had.
He frequently showed up in front of me, sending flowers and gifts, all of which I threw straight into the
trash.
After so many attempts, he finally stopped pestering me.
By now, I wasn’t the Silas I used to be. I had signed with the Gibson family’s company and achieved some success in the industry.
My new book had done well, and Archie raised an eyebrow at me. “Silas, the great author. Are you going

I hesitated. After all, I had never participated in such a big event before.
“My top author, would it be possible for a small signature?” Archie teased.
Under his coaxing, I finally sat among the crowd for the first time, surrounded by a sea of people waiting
in line.
Archie stood behind me, acting as my bodyguard.
I had been signing books for so long that my wrist ached. When I saw a familiar hand, I instinctively looked up, only to see Aaron hurriedly avert his gaze.
His voice was hoarse as he said, “Write ‘I hope you get what you want‘ on it.”
I wrote those few words, handed the book to Aaron, and noticed a familiar diary under it.
Furrowing my brow, I finished signing the rest of the books.
On my way back, Archie suddenly had to leave, so I opened the diary. It was written in Aaron’s handwriting.
It started twenty years ago.
“I think I might be in love with Silas, but she doesn’t understand anything. It’s okay, I’ll always be by her
side, and one day, she’ll love me.”
“Everyone is in love, except for me, holding onto this hopeless hope. Silas, when will you see my heart?”
“She’s so beautiful tonight, I really want to kiss her.”
“I went crazy wanting to have her, Harper gave me some bad advice, I knew it would hurt Silas, but
when she falls in love with me, can I atone for all the mistakes I’ve made?”
“She cried, but why didn’t she cry for me? It’s been twenty years, why am I still not important to her?”
I quickly flipped to the back, and suddenly remembered I had an identical diary, one where Aaron wrote about all the nice things he did for me.

Chapter 6
Until the last page, “Ile loves me, and I need to get better so I can love him back.”
He had given me his diary, and I imagined that he must have seen mine as well.
But it no longer mattered.
I casually threw it in the trash. I had completely turned the page.
Lost in thought, a motorcycle suddenly sped past, and a man snatched my purse. He rode off quickly.
That was when Aaron appeared.,
He went mad, chasing the motorcycle down the street, slamming into it to force it to stop. The man fell to the ground, cursing.
Aaron stepped on his wrist, warning him, “Shut your mouth if you don’t want to die.”
The crowd around us grew larger.
Aaron let the man go and carefully returned my purse. “Silas, here’s your bag.”
I took it, thanked him, and turned to walk away.
He grabbed my wrist, his voice trembling, “Silas, you wish me well, but for the past twenty years, my wish has always been you. How can I get what I want from you?”
I slowly pried his fingers off.
I smiled at him, “Aaron, let go. You need to know, we can never go back. Thank you for today.”
“I’ll send you an invitation when I get married.”
The wind was strong, and sand blew into Aaron’s eyes, causing his tears to fall in large drops.
But I didn’t turn back.
If I did, it would have been a betrayal of all the suffering I had endured.
The day Aaron returned to his home country, he said goodbye to me.
I wished him a bright future, but the next part of the saying was, “and may we never meet again.”
But I never expected our reunion to come so quickly.
