Henry usually avoided anything related to the Hartwell family. Why had he started tracking Matteo now?
Henry shook his head. “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have bothered. But that man’s dangerous. You’ve done your research, haven’t you? His original name was Patrick.”
Eliza had already looked into it.
Matteo was born Victor Patrick. After the Patrick family’s downfall, he disappeared. Later, he turned up at an orphanage and was picked up by Nathaniel.
None of it looked like coincidence/
Eliza strongly suspected the Chu/family’s downfall had been Nathaniel’s doing
