“Fuck.” I muttered in frustration and lifted my head up. I was angry, angry at her, but mostly what I felt was against myself. 1 wiped the sweat from my forehead and got out of the car.
The night air was still cold and there were signs that it was going to be like this for probably the whole night. I made my way towards the front door, my feet crunching against the ground did.
I pushed the door open and walked into the warmth of my house. Without thinking. I walked towards the counter just by the corner of the room and drew out a bottle of wine. I poured myself a full glass and downed the contents in one gulp.

without saying anything, I poured another glass for myself, but just before I could take a sip from it, she walked to where I was and grabbed the glass from my hand.
“I asked you a question, Alpha.” She said firmly. It wasn’t often that she would call me by my title, this was a serious conversation and required mature reactions.
“What do you want me to say, Zoe?” I asked without looking at her. “You saw all that happened, there isn’t one piece of information that I have that you don’t have already. Everything played out in front of you, yet here you are.”
She kept her eyes on me for a second, staring at me with something that looked like disbelief in her eyes, but I looked away.
“I freaking saw my sister, Nolan!” She yelled, her voice was shaking and it was the same with her body. I got up slowly and walked towards her, brought my hand up, and tried to take the glass from her but she pulled away
“Why is this more important than what we are supposed to talk about?” She yelled again and in the process, threw the glass across the room, shattering it to pieces and spilling the wine everywhere.
I stoffed in disbelief at what she had done, but I couldn’t blame her. I brushed my hair with my fingers and sat back down.
“You didn’t have to do that,” I said in a low whisper, reaching out to pull out another glass from the cupboard. She watched as I poured wine into the new glass and sipped from it.
“Sit down.” I ordered firmly, placing the glass gently on the table. She kept her eyes on me and after a few seconds, she was
scated.
“Why are you mad, Zoe?”
I could see her chest rising and falling and how she tried to calm herself down, but she wasn’t going anywhere with that. I Knew for a fact how much she hated Ashley, but I felt she didn’t have any reason to be angry
She was married to me after all and had what she wanted. The status of Luna and the authority of one, if anything she should be happy that her sister was alive.
“You wanted to talk, let’s talk.” My voice echoed through again, causing her to flinch slightly.
She was much calmer now and my best guess was that she was just trying to get a reaction from me.

“I guess you don’t have anything to say then,” I said to her and then got up with the glass in hand, making my way upstairs.
“You didn’t tell me she was pregnant,” she said suddenly, stopping me in my tracks.
“You knew all these years, but you didn’t say anything to me, abat the possibility that she was carrying your child”
I sighed deeply and turned around. “Ashley was dead until tonight, Zoe, What good would that information have doner f asked quietly.
“Umm, well–She started but trailed off just as I thought. I smiled wryly and began walking towards her, taking slow steps. She moved backwards but not in time before I was just a few inches away from her.
She held her breath, and I could tell by how high her chest was, I leaned in and kissed her gently on her forehead She flinched and tried to move back but I grabbed her by the waist with my free hand and pulled her closer to myself, pressing her body against mine.
I lowered my head and located her lips, before placing a long warm kiss on them.
“You see, Zoe.” I began just as I pulled away, sounding mysterious and dangerous at the same time. My senses were heightened and I could hear her heart racing. For someone who was flaring up just a few minutes ago, it was pretty disappointing.
“You don’t have to worry about anything.” I continued.
“You are still my Luna and the woman that I love. I get that you are mad, but none of this.. all that happened. None of it is your fight. Now, go inside, freshen up, and make sure to wear your lingerie, you know why?”
“No.” She whispered under her breath.
I pressed her body against mine even more and lowered my head to her ear.
“Because I’m going to have you silly, tonight. So next time when you think of flaring up because of a doubt, you’ll be assured.”
I grabbed her face roughly and kissed her again, pressing my lips firmly against hers and after a while, I let go.
“I’ll be waiting.” She said to me with a smile, before making her way up the stairs.
