Chapter 285
Tom paused momentarily. With mixed feelings, he made a conjecture. “There’s a good chance the Nexura Solutions team will be instructed to fully support the Veyo Solutions team in their work. Once Ms. Stanton becomes our boss‘ wife, perhaps she’ll be put in charge of managing Nexura Solutions too.“—
Anyway, Tom was just guessing.
Chad lifted his head and smiled dryly. “It seems like Mr. Larkin is letting his woman affect his decisions a lot.”
Tom simply smiled upon hearing that. He dared not comment on what Chad had just said.
The rain had gotten a lot heavier by the time they finished their work at Nexura Tower. They wouldn’t get wet anyway since their car was parked in the underground parking lot.
After returning to Faye Technologies‘ office, Chad massaged his neck and spoke with a pleased, mischievous look on his face.
“Did you see their reactions? No one believed me, even when I was telling the truth. Not everyone has the privilege of having you share your feedback on their academic papers. Yet, those two didn’t even appreciate my suggestion in the slightest.”
Moreover, Ariel would be working on preparing her third paper, which would also be submitted to the SCI Aerospace Section One Journals.
Chad couldn’t help but wonder how embarrassed Nancy and Jayson would be once they learned about it.
Ariel had hardly been affected by the incident. Instead, she told Chad the proposal that Jayson had spoken to her about during the day.
Chad’s expression grew pensive. “Putting our conflicts aside, what he said is pretty valid. The Department of Defense will be receiving tenders from companies found all across the country. Even if Faye Tech has an impressive track record so far, it’ll still be a hard battle for us.”
Ariel nodded. “Each company possesses different strengths and expertise. We’ll have to consider this carefully.”
Especially since the Department of Defense would be assessing the participating teams as a whole, rather than focusing on individual capabilities.
Chad pondered for a while with a grim look on his face. “With the bigger picture in mind, it is the best plan for both companies. It’s better to have a win–win situation rather than having both companies fight it out and ultimately lose. Once we secure the project, it’s up to each party how they’ll make use of the opportunity to benefit from it.”
If they were to let another company take the project, Faye Technologies would lose a massive opportunity to grow and expand further.
Moreover, it would be rather unwise and impulsive if they were to give up on the opportunity because of some personal grudges.
Ariel nodded in agreement. “If we’re doing a joint bidding, we’ll have to state our conditions clearly in the contract. It hadn’t been that long since Veyo Solutions started operating.
“Even if they possess all the necessary infrastructure and technology, they’re still a relatively new company. Faye Tech has to take the lead for the project.”
Chad listened to Ariel as she analyzed the situation objectively. He had no objections. “Of course. If you’re okay with the plan, we’ll discuss it with the Veyo Solutions team”

Just as she said, they needed to secure the right to take the lead for the project.

While it was already too late for them to find another reliable partner to bid jointly with, the situation was the same for Veyo Solutions as well. Moreover, Jayson had probably made the proposition after taking into consideration Faye Technologies‘ competency and consistency.
Frankly, Veyo Solutions probably needed this opportunity even more than Faye Technologies did. Hence, Jayson most likely would not oppose the idea of them taking the lead.
Ariel checked the time. She took her laptop and was about to head to her office. “I’ll prepare the tender response. You should negotiate with Veyo Solutions.”
As for assigning the workload, they had to make sure Faye Technologies would be handling most of the project as well.
Chad’s phone pinged with a notification just as she rose.
He took a glance at his phone and raised his brows. “Samson Pryce. Do you remember him?”
Ariel halted and glanced over her shoulder at Chad. Even though they had only met briefly, her encounter with Samson was quite memorable.
Chad waved the phone in his hand. “He sent me a message and invited us to the 8th Tech Seminar happening on the 18th. He says I can bring one or two people with me. Should we go?”
Ariel was curious. “When did the two of you become so close?”
Normally, it was someone from a government agency or department who would inform them about this tech seminar.
