Chapter 380
Ariel also needed to investigate how her base code and parts of the technical proposal got leaked.
The scandal between Faye Technologies and Veyo Solutions had turned into a major incident.
Ariel’s name was now known across the entire industry.
Zach was stunned when he found out. He had just returned from a business trip when he learned that Ariel had become the chief engineer behind Faye Technologies‘ flight control system.
During a meetup with Liam, he scratched his head. “Liam, how can Faye Tech be this heartless? Something goes wrong, and instead of fixing it, they throw a woman under the bus?”
Liam had heard bits and pieces about the scandal. He glanced sideways at Zach. “I thought you weren’t a fan of Ms. Walker.”
Zach smirked. “I’m still not. But that doesn’t mean I’m okay with Faye Tech’s lack of accountability. It’s downright shameless. When everything was going well, Ariel got no credit, but now that something’s gone wrong, she’s the one taking the fall? I didn’t expect Chad to be this spineless.”
Liam put down his glass and suddenly remembered the complicated tangle between Ariel, Jayson, and Nancy.
“Zach, don’t hang around Ms. Stanton too much,” he said.
There were some things he would rather not say out loud. After all, none of it was public.
But still, when it came to Zach, he felt the need to give a heads–up.
“Vireon’s working with Veyo now. Why are you suddenly saying that?” Zach asked, confused.
Liam almost never commented on other people’s affairs. This was rare.
“Mr. Quinton.” A voice interrupted them from behind.
Liam and Zach turned around.
Nancy had come to see Zach today. The moment she saw Liam, she paused briefly, then gave a polite nod as a greeting.
Liam glanced at her and returned the gesture.
“Ms. Stanton, how’s the situation going?” Zach asked.
He had been following the news. After all, they had bought the patent from Faye Technologies for a steep price.
Nancy stayed composed. “My company’s engineer has decided to file a lawsuit, I’m helping him through the process.”
Then she looked at Zach and continued calmly, “Mr. Quinton, the plagiarism scandal has serious consequences. I wanted to ask if you’ve considered ending your contract with Faye Tech.
“Veyo recently developed a new system. At the very least, it won’t put your company at risk due to potential infringement.”
As for Nexura Solutions, Jayson hadn’t said anything yet.
Nancy figured he was holding back because of Betty. That way, if the latter ever asked, it wouldn’t be so hard for him to explain.

Zach frowned.
He was well aware of the value Faye Technologies brought to the table. Even if Veyo Solutions had something new, it still wasn’t on the same level.
But with all the controversy surrounding Faye Technologies, if things blew up, the fallout could spread far and wide.
He hadn’t expected Nancy to come talk to him about this directly.
“Ms. Stanton, I’ll need to think it over,” he said.
Zach was a smart businessman. He never made rash decisions. But he was willing to show Nancy some courtesy and keep things cordial.
Nancy gave a pleasant smile. “Of course. I understand.”
She believed Zach would think this through. And when he did, Faye Technologies would be even more overwhelmed than they already were.
After saying that, she turned her attention to Liam, who had been quiet the entire time.
“Mr. Spencer, nice to see you again.” Now that business was done, she shifted into polite small talk.
Liam finally set his glass down and said, “Apologies. I’ve got to go.”
Clearly, he had no interest in chatting with her.
He turned to Zach. “Stop by the Spencer residence. Your grandpa wants to see you.”
Zach didn’t get why Liam was in such a rush all of a sudden
The moment he heard Liam mention Jackson, he put down his glass and addressed Nancy, “Ms. Stanton, let’s talk another time.”
Nancy watched the two walk away.
Something felt off.
Her brows knitted, a flicker of confusion passing through her.
Liam didn’t seem very warm toward her.
