As soon as he came in through the door, Chad shoved a box of fruit candies into Ariel’s hands. His brows arched. ” Guess what happened?”

“Professor Jones announced on a public platform that he would no longer be Nancy’s supervisor due to the recent disputes she had gotten involved in. A lot of people from our industry have heard the news. Nancy’s seriously lost face and credibility this time with her being plagued by all this negative news.”
Andre was pretty much Ariel’s senior since they were both Carlos‘ students. He had witnessed Ariel’s growth over the past few years. Naturally, Andre was infuriated upon learning how Nancy had almost succeeded in damaging Ariel’s reputation.
Moreover, Nancy was facing charges that could result in her being sent to prison. Neither the university nor Andre would accept a student bearing such a negative image and risk having their own reputations ruined.
Ariel was quite surprised to hear that.
Andre had informed Nancy personally that he would not be her supervisor anymore. Ariel thought he would just take care of the issue quietly. She didn’t expect Andre to decide to make a public announcement about his decision instead.
In a way, he was showing everyone that he trusted Ariel and Faye Technologies.
The confirmation that the Veyo Solutions team had violated patent rights was nothing short of scandalous. It was obvious what the public would think of Nancy, who was involved in this incident.
“The university would probably also reconsider whether they should be accepting Nancy as their student. After everything that had happened, not only would Nancy face imprisonment, but she had also lost so many precious opportunities.”
Chad snickered. He felt that Nancy had gotten what she deserved.
“I heard this other thing from Mr. White today. With Veyo Solutions being surrounded by various scandals and how their new system is actually an imitation of our flight control system, the companies that have recently agreed to collaborate with them have decided to terminate their contracts with Veyo Solutions.
“Veyo Solutions would have to compensate the losses of these partnering companies since they had violated the agreement and affected those companies‘ businesses.”
In other words, Veyo Solutions would be losing a lot of money this time. They had incurred a huge loss.
Ariel noticed from the start that Nancy had been too eager to bring her down with the lawsuit ever since she came forward and stepped into the spotlight. Otherwise, Nancy wouldn’t have left so many of her own weaknesses exposed.
Frankly, Nancy had it coming.
Chad was in a cheery mood. “Jan made a reservation for us at this restaurant. We’ll have lunch there to celebrate this!”
After hearing all that wonderful news, Chad wished he could hire some people to light some fireworks right in front of Veyo Solutions‘ building to celebrate the occasion.

He was coming toward them in big strides. Ariel slowed down and directed her gaze at him.
Frederick stopped in front of them and blocked their way. He glared at Ariel. “Was it you? Did you somehow manage to talk Mr. Carlos into making Professor Jones change his mind about taking Ms. Stanton as his student?”
Ariel smirked. It seemed like Frederick had come here today to question her about her involvement in the incident.
“What’s your relationship to her? Also, do you honestly think you’re in any place to say that to me?”
All along, Ariel had simply ignored Frederick since she was trying to be mindful of Janice’s feelings. However, she saw no need to show him any respect now since Frederick was clearly here to avenge Nancy by blaming Ariel for what had happened without caring about the facts.
Chad frowned and said mockingly, “Mr. Swanson, others who didn’t know better might think that you’re Nancy’s boyfriend. You seem to care about her much more than her real boyfriend does.”
Frederick stiffened. A moment later, his expression hardened. With his gaze fixed on Ariel, he spoke in an even harsher tone.
“Did I say anything wrong? Ariel Walker, do you know how unsightly it is for you to be making things so difficult for another young lady?
“You’re trying to have her sentenced to prison, and you’ve damaged her reputation. You even used some sort of dirty tricks to convince Professor Jones not to be Nancy’s supervisor anymore. You’re absolutely vicious!”
Frederick could not even imagine how sad and helpless Nancy must be feeling right now.
Ariel’s expression turned frigid. For the first time in her life, she lost her temper. She did not hold back as she retorted sharply, “You think this situation is unfair for her? Why haven’t you stepped up when Veyo Solutions were making those baseless accusations against Faye Tech, then?
“Your younger sister has invested and helped establish Faye Tech. Yet, you’re always siding with an outsider instead of your own family. Does that make any sense to you? You should probably just consider becoming Nancy’s servant instead if you like her so much!”
Frederick’s eyes bulged in exasperation. He was visibly agitated and caught off guard when Ariel pointed out clearly that Frederick had not cared much about Janice and how he was too eager to please Nancy.
He instinctively raised his hand and reached for Ariel’s arm. “Ariel, watch your mouth! You should go and talk to Professor Jones…”
Before he could lay his hand on Ariel, someone gripped him from behind by the shoulder.
With the person applying more pressure gradually, Frederick felt as though his bones were about to get crushed. Then, he heard a man’s monotonous voice. “Mr. Swanson, are you trying to hit a woman now?”
