Zach had been feeling extremely troubled and frustrated since the incident could negatively affect their business. If Faye Technologies insisted they were at fault, Vireon might be labeled as a high–risk business partner to work or collaborate with.
Frankly, Zach had not expected that an issue like this would happen within the Veyo Solutions team and Nancy had actually been tricked by Terrance.
He tried calling Faye Technologies‘ office several times. However, their lines were likely jammed with people calling to speak with their team. Zach was unable to get through in the end.
After thinking about it deeply, Zach decided to call Liam and ask if he had any suggestions on what he could do.
Technically speaking, Zach was dragged into this mess because of Nancy.
Liam had just finished handling some research–related work. After listening to Zach’s concerns, he asked, “Did the Faye Tech team already say that they’d press charges on Vireon too?”
“I’m not sure. Me and… Ariel Walker, you know how it is between us. She might use this opportunity to take action against Vireon. She might even think that Ms. Stanton and I have colluded and plotted this together.” Zach thought he must have rotten luck to have been dragged into an incident like this.
Liam paused for a brief moment. “If she were someone so vengeful and narrow–minded, you might not have been able to secure the patent license in the first place.”
Zach was rendered speechless. After a while, he let out a deep sigh.
“Liam, I need your help with this.”
Liam took his time finishing up the rest of his work. “I’m not sure if I’ll be of any help, but I’ll give it a go.”
Zach was quite surprised to hear that Liam really seemed to have an idea which could help him resolve the current issue.
Ariel had just finished having a meeting when she received Liam’s WhatsApp messages. He had sent her a voice recording and a message.
“I’m sorry to bother you, Ms. Walker. I’ve heard about what happened to Faye Tech recently and how my cousin, Zach, seems to be involved in it as well. Perhaps you can listen to this voice recording and take it into consideration. Zach hasn’t colluded with Veyo Solutions or done anything unlawful. I hope you’ll find it helpful.”
Ariel played the voice recording. The background music was a bit loud. Still, she could hear Nancy and Zach’s conversation clearly.
Nancy was persuading Zach to terminate Vireon’s contract with Faye Technologies. In a way, she was slandering Faye Technologies by saying what she had said to Zach. Ariel could even submit this voice recording as evidence and request that Nancy receive heavier punishment for her defamation charges.
On the other hand, Zach did not agree to Nancy’s suggestion.
Ariel could see what Liam was trying to do.
She pondered for a moment. Honestly, she knew that Vireon was also just a victim in this incident.
The police had confirmed that the Vireon team had not done anything unlawful or questionable. In other words, Vireon had not intended for something like this to happen.

While Faye Technologies could still press charges on Vireon if they wanted to, being too rigid and unforgiving to the point of being abrasive was not a good thing in their industry.
Ariel would rather do them a favor under these circumstances.
She replied to Liam’s message. “I understand. You have nothing to worry about, Mr. Spencer.”
Ariel would rather make more friends than have more foes.
Liam was not surprised when he saw Ariel’s reply. As for why he had recorded the conversation…
At the time, it was obvious that the conflict between Faye Technologies and Veyo Solutions was bound to escalate to the point that they would be filing lawsuits against each other.
Yet, Nancy had met up with Zach in private and brought up those sensitive topics. As one of the companies collaborating with Faye Technologies, Vireon would risk having its reputation marred if Zach had made any brash and reckless decision in that situation.
After what happened this time, Liam hoped that Zach would be more alert and careful when dealing with either his private or work–related matters.
Moreover, Liam owed Ariel another one now since she was doing him a favor by giving him a clear response.
Although he had sent the voice recording to Ariel, she was not the only one who benefited from him doing that.
Instead, Ariel had chosen not to take any action against Vireon, despite Zach having offended her several times previously, and Vireon being partly responsible for the leak of information.
Therefore, Liam would not think they were even now, especially considering what Ariel did for them.
Ariel took the time to stop by Ashford University.
Carlos had to settle some work here today. Ariel came here to update him about the Faye Technologies team’s latest progress resolving the issue with Veyo Solutions.
While she was waiting for Carlos to be done with his work, Ariel spotted a familiar face. However, Nancy had not
noticed her.
She went over to another corner. Still, Ariel could hear Nancy’s voice. “Professor Jones, can I have some of your time?”
