Ariel made an appointment for her next chemotherapy session.
On Tuesday, she freed up some time for her visit to Bluum Tower.

In the afternoon, Matt accompanied Nancy to Bluum Tower since he was free.
Nancy had been extremely busy these days. It was almost midnight by the time she and the representatives of a formerly partnering company had finished discussing their contract termination.
When Veyo Solutions had just launched their system, Faye Technologies was embroiled in the plagiarism scandal. That had somewhat helped bring Veyo Solutions a lot of collaboration opportunities.
Since the system created by the team led by Terrance contained plagiarized code, Veyo Solutions had been ordered to discontinue the use of their system.
Consequently, the collaborations fell through. Not only did Veyo Solutions have to compensate for the contract termination, but they also had to cover the losses incurred by the partnering companies.
Nancy could only do her best to convince and reassure their remaining partners. They could not afford to have more of these situations happen. Otherwise, Veyo Solutions might face problems with its funding soon.
“I called Jayson, and he said he would be busy this afternoon. Would you be okay with waiting for a bit?” Matt knew about the issues Nancy was facing at the moment and how she would have to clean up after everything.
“It’s alright. I came here today to ask him some questions regarding the contracts.”
Nancy massaged the area between her brows.
Matt pondered for a brief moment. “Why don’t you ask Jayson to take care of everything for you? It’ll save you from all the trouble.”
Nancy was supposed to contribute to the company by using her knowledge and expertise in aerospace engineering. She was not actually trained to handle a company’s management.
With everything that had happened recently, all of it was actually pretty overwhelming for her.
Nancy shook her head. A small frown creased her forehead. I’m partly responsible for what happened. It would be better for me to handle the issues. I’ve learned a lot from this incident. Besides, I can’t keep asking him to do so
much for me.”
They had spent most of Veyo Solutions‘ funds during the last couple of days. If any urgent situations were to arise, Nancy might even have to get some money from Sarah first to help with things at the company.
“How did it go with Ariel’s side?” Matt was left absolutely flabbergasted.
He was caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.
Matt reckoned Chad had put Ariel under the spotlight since he was using her as a scapegoat and a distraction while he tried to look for evidence. He thought it was quite cunning of Chad to have done something like that.
“She refused to speak to me.” Nancy pursed her lips. There was a scornful look in her eyes.
Jayson had asked her to issue an official apology two days ago.
He said the statement would help resolve certain issues they were facing, but he did not go into the details.

Despite her unwillingness, Nancy had no choice but to do it
They would only face backlash if Nancy still insisted they had not done anything wrong at this point. The public and even their partners would shun them.
This was something Nancy simply could not overlook.
As for Ariel, that was probably the only way she could get back at Nancy. Due to her incompetence, Ariel would not dare challenge Nancy when it came to things related to her knowledge and expertise.
“Don’t worry. Jayson will figure out a way.” Matt tried to cheer her up.
The staff in the secretarial department looked rather busy today.
Matt asked one of the staff members and found out Jayson was not in his office.
Meanwhile, the administration department’s staff members could also be seen hurrying toward the largest conference room on that floor.
“Ms. Stanton and Mr. Crosby, Mr. Larkin is about to attend a meeting. The two of you can take a break first while you wait for him.”
Colton greeted Matt and Nancy respectfully when he passed by them. He also instructed a staff member to serve two cups of Nancy’s favorite coffee.
When Nancy noticed it was her favorite coffee, the worry and frustration that filled her dissipated slightly. Her mouth turned up in a soft smile.
Jayson had paid a lot of attention to her matters. He had even learned about her likes and dislikes.
“This isn’t just a regular meeting, right?” Nancy spotted a few Bluum Corp’s shareholders and some of Nexura Solutions‘ shareholders whom she had met before coming out of the elevator.
Colton’s expression remained unchanged. Inwardly, he was in disbelief. “You’re right. We’re having a shareholders‘ meeting today.”
“A shareholders‘ meeting?” Nancy felt a bit puzzled.
Just then, she spotted Ariel out of the corners of her eyes. The smile on her face froze.
Matt was surprised as well. “Ariel? You’re still allowed to enter Bluum Tower?”
Nancy stared at Ariel with a frigid expression on her face.
Ariel heard Matt, of course. However, she kept her gaze straight and acted as if those two people were not there as she headed into the conference room where the shareholders‘ meeting was held.
Nancy’s expression hardened.
She could not help but wonder how Ariel was allowed to join Bluum Corp’s shareholders‘ meeting.
As soon as she entered the room, Ariel noticed Jayson had taken his seat.
He happened to look up at that moment. Jayson met Ariel’s gaze briefly. Then, he looked away expressionlessly.
Ariel was not sure about the relevant procedures required by Bluum Corp and Nexura Solutions. However, there should not be any issues with those procedures since Jayson had promised to transfer Nexura Solutions‘ ownership to her.
