Nancy stared at Cassidy, who was clearly younger, with widened eyes.
Then, she cast Ariel a stony gaze. She reckoned it was Ariel’s idea that a young assistant like Cassidy would dare speak to her in that tone.
Nancy found the situation rather amusing. Ariel could barely hide the fact that she actually felt threatened by her.
Ariel had only obtained Nexura Solutions‘ ownership because of her. Yet, she was acting so smug and haughty
about it now.
“Is this the kind of person you have working under you, Ms. Walker? She couldn’t even treat a guest with the most basic level of respect.”
Nancy curled her lips. There was no hint of displeasure in her tone. She saw no need to get upset over what a mere assistant said.
Ariel did not look up as she continued to arrange and organize the reports that she needed to go through.
Cassidy had the same smile plastered across her face. “Ms. Stanton, you should probably try to make an appointment first instead of asking Ms. Walker for an explanation. If Ms. Walker agrees to meet you, you’ll appear less rude even though you’ve practically barged into the room earlier.”
Nancy’s face darkened. She saw no point in speaking to Ariel or Cassidy anymore. She directed her gaze to Tom. ” Are you free to talk, Mr. Chapman?”
Tom’s heart missed a beat. He did not expect that he would get dragged into this as well.
He instinctively glanced in Ariel’s direction. Since Nancy was Jayson’s girlfriend, Tom decided to be courteous by smiling apologetically at her. “Ms. Stanton, I can’t possibly go ahead and make these decisions when my boss is here.”
Nancy knitted her brows.
Ariel finally finished what she was doing and looked at Nancy. “What is it? You can go ahead and say it now.”
Nancy turned her eyes to Ariel. She could tell Ariel was trying to flaunt her power and position now. Still, Nancy had to make sure to get her things done today.
Veyo Solutions and Nexura Solutions were collaborating to work on a few projects. After Nexura Solutions‘ ownership was transferred to Ariel, she would also be receiving the funds, connections, resources, and work opportunities that came along with the company.
Nancy still needed to get Nexura Solutions‘ representative to sign the contracts regarding their collaboration.

Ariel flipped through the pages and said, “Please sign your name on this document. From now on, Veyo Solutions and Nexura Solutions will no longer be partnering for any projects.”
Nancy’s face turned slightly pale.
She had a cold, incredulous look in her eyes. “Ariel Walker, what is the meaning of this?”
Ariel gazed at her with an impassive expression on her face, “Do you really need me to remind you of it? Nexura Solutions is under my name now. It’s none of my business what kind of exceptions Jayson has made for you relating to Nexura Solutions‘ projects previously.
“Since it’s been proven that Veyo Solutions violated Faye Tech’s patent rights, that’s something we at Nexura Solutions simply can’t tolerate. What Ms. Stanton and Veyo Solutions did also harmed and affected Nexura Solutions‘ business. Therefore, you’ve violated the terms of our agreement.”
Nancy’s lips were pressed into a thin line. She clenched the documents tightly in her hand.
She had not expected Ariel to do this to her. Ariel used Nexura Solutions to deal a hard blow to Nancy, especially under these circumstances. 1
Tom got quite a shock as well. Ariel’s approach to handling the situation was harsh and ruthless.

Nancy had a thorough understanding now of how difficult things could get for a business owner.
