Chapter 119: Matchmaking Dominic and Sadie… 

(Aria’s POV) 

I subconsciously wanted to refuse Dominic’s dinner invitation, but my aunt Sophia immediately squeezed past me with surprising agility. 

“Oh, this is so embarrassing! Are you the Alpha Dominic that Aria mentioned?” she gushed, her eyes lighting up with an almost predatory gleam. “The Noble Alpha King?” 

The moment Aunt Sophia spotted Dominic, her entire demeanor transformed. She began an impromptu interrogation, seemingly oblivious to the waves of discomfort radiating from me. 

“Aria has told us so much about you!” she continued breathlessly. “She said you’re incredibly kind, powerful, and-” 

“Aunt Sophia,” I interrupted, my face heating with mortification. “I never said all that.” 

Dominic simply chuckled, his eyes twinkling with quiet amusement as he cast a knowing glance in my direction. His composed demeanor only seemed to fuel my aunt’s enthusiasm further. 

“Oh, but she did! She practically glows when she mentions your name,” Aunt Sophia insisted, completely oblivious to my growing horror. 

The opportune ding of the elevator provided a temporary escape. But Aunt Sophia, with surprising speed and determination, herded Dominic inside the confined space. 

“Tell me, Alpha Dominic,” she continued her relentless barrage, “are you mated yet? A powerful Alpha like yourself must have she–wolves lining up…” 

Dominic’s response was diplomatically vague. “Not yet,” he said simply. 

The two words ignited something fierce in my aunt’s eyes. I watched with growing unease as her determination intensified visibly. 

As soon as we stepped out of the elevator and into my apartment at Moon Valley Residences, Aunt Sophia immediately cornered me in the kitchen. 

“Aria! Why didn’t you tell me he was so perfect?” she whispered urgently, her face beaming with uncontrollable joy. 

“Aunt, it’s not what you think-” I began. 

“Where does he live? Does he have a house? What about his family background?” The rapid–fire questions left me feeling increasingly helpless. 

I sensed my aunt’s dangerous motives and wanted to protect Dominic from potential complications. I intentionally gave vague, noncommittal answers. 

But her focus immediately shifted to a new target. 

“Sadie!” she called out to my cousin, who was sulking in the corner. “Come here, sweetie.” 

Sadie looked up from her mobile phone with obvious reluctance. “What now, Mom?”

Chapter 119 Matchmakin. 

“I need to talk to you,” Aunt Sophia sald, pulling her daughter aside. 

I watched as she whispered urgently in Sadle’s ear. Whatever she said caused a dramatic transformation in my cousin’s demeanor. 

Sadie’s disinterested expression melted into sudden, coy shyness. She glanced toward the hallway where Dominic was politely examining family photos. 

“Really?” Sadie whispered back, her eyes brightening. 

With all the guest rooms packed with dusty furniture and boxes, living arrangements became complicated. Sadie surveyed the available options with growing dissatisfaction. 

“This place is so small,” she complained loudly. “Where am I supposed to sleep?” 

“The guest room is perfectly comfortable,” I offered. 

But Sadie wrinkled her nose. “It smells musty. And the bed looks ancient.” 

Her gaze then fixed on my personal bedroom with calculating interest. 

“I want that room,” she declared quietly to her mother, pointing directly at my private space. 

A knot of discomfort tightened in my stomach. Aunt Sophia seemed completely unfazed by the impropriety 

of the request. 

“Aria, dear,” she said with practiced manipulation, “maybe you could move to the guest room tonight? Sadie has such difficulty sleeping in unfamiliar beds.” 

The suggestion completely disregarded my comfort and ownership of the space. I felt my wolf bristle beneath my skin. 

Though inwardly seething, I maintained outward composure. My eyes fixed directly on Sadie. 

“Do you really want my room?” I asked pointedly. 

Sadie was caught off guard by the unexpected confrontation. Her confident demeanor crumbled into visible flustering. 

Her gaze darted desperately to her mother for rescue. 

“Well, if it’s too much trouble-” Aunt Sophia began to formulate a more polite approach. 

“That’s enough,” Uncle Robert’s decisive voice cut through the tension. 

He had been silently observing the entire exchange from the doorway. His calm intervention immediately diffused the building conflict. 

“Sadie will take the guest room,” he stated firmly. “There’s no need for unnecessary hassle.” 

Sadie’s face fell, but she didn’t dare argue with her father. 

With a sigh of relief, I couldn’t shake the growing regret about not insisting my aunt’s family stay in a hotel. The thought of the impending dinner with Dominic only compounded my mounting anxiety. 

After finally cleaning up the remaining bedrooms and getting everyone settled, I was exhausted and perspiring. A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts. 

Assuming it was Dominic, I moved toward the entrance. But Aunt Sophia frantically intercepted me, nudging-

“Sadie, answer the door!” she commanded urgently. 

Sadie, surprisingly compliant now, opened the door to reveal Dominic. His powerful Alpha presence filled the doorway immediately. 

His gaze bypassed Sadie entirely, settling directly on me with familiar warmth. 

“Are you ready?” he asked, his voice gentle. 

Before I could respond, Aunt Sophia took charge with practiced cheerfulness. 

“Of course we’re ready! Thank you so much for this generous invitation, Alpha Dominic.” 

She led our party of five toward the elevator and down to the underground parking garage. 

As we approached Dominic’s luxury SUV with its distinctive Shadow Pack emblem, he instinctively moved to open the passenger door for me. 

But Aunt Sophia intervened with deliberate force. 

“Oh, Sadie should sit in front,” she declared, pushing my cousin forward. “She suffers terribly from car 

sickness in the back seat.” 

Dominic raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes. His gaze landed on me with barely 

concealed amusement. 

Though mortified by my aunt’s transparent manipulation, I feigned ignorance. I resignedly settled into the back seat between my aunt and uncle. 

Sadie climbed into the passenger seat with obvious satisfaction, shooting me a triumphant look. 

Upon our arrival at Silver Pine Bistro, the elegant establishment’s atmosphere immediately impressed my 

relatives. 

The lobby manager, recognizing Dominic’s Alpha status and Shadow Pack emblem, rushed forward with 

deferential respect. 

“Alpha Blackwood, welcome back!” he said with a deep bow. “We have fresh venison from the Northern Territory forests tonight. Your usual private dining room is prepared and waiting.” 

Dominic nodded with practiced nonchalance, his commanding presence evident even in casual conversation. 

“The usual order will be fine,” he replied smoothly. 

Aunt Sophia, Uncle Robert, and Sadie trailed behind with wide–eyed awe. They seemed overwhelmed by both the opulence and the respectful treatment Dominic received from the staff. 

Inside the private dining room, Dominic moved to pull out a chair. His subtle gaze shifted toward me with 

obvious intent. 

Before I could react, Aunt Sophia intervened again with forceful enthusiasm. 

She practically shoved Sadie into the very seat Dominic had prepared. 

“Here, Sadie, this is perfect for you!” she announced loudly. 

A wave of embarrassment washed over me. The situation’s transparency was undeniable now my aunt was

actively trying to set up Dominic and Sadie. 

Dominic seemed amused by my visible mortification. He calmly pulled out another chair and sat beside me 

instead. 

The gesture did not go unnoticed by my aunt. 

“Oh no, that won’t work,” Aunt Sophia declared with obvious displeasure. 

She immediately intervened again, pulling Sadie to the seat directly next to Dominic. 

“Sadie was sitting too close to the door,” she explained with transparent fabrication. “The draft might bother 

her.” 

Sadie blushed prettily as she complied with her mother’s directions. 

Aunt Sophia wasted no time capitalizing on the new seating arrangement. She immediately began flattering Dominic with obvious calculation. 

“Alpha Dominic, we’ve heard such wonderful things about your Shadow Security business,” she gushed. “Operating across multiple territories–how impressive!” 

Dominic responded politely but maintained professional distance. 

Aunt Sophia seized her opportunity without hesitation.

“We’ve come to the Northern Territory specifically to help Sadie find suitable employment,” she announced with strategic timing. 

Her eyes gleamed with matchmaking intent. 

“Would you consider hiring her as your personal assistant? She’s incredibly organized and hardworking. 

I rubbed my forehead in exasperation, groaning inwardly. My aunt’s transparent manipulation felt like a physical blow to my dignity.
