I struggled to break free, my face drenched in tears, doing my best to push him off.
“Grace, now that you’ve come back, I’m not letting you go.”
With those words, Ethan began undressing me.
As his movements grew faster, more and more of my clothes were stripped away.
My hands were pinned above my head, and I could only use my feet to push him off.
I hadn’t realized how mad he had become.
I regretted getting involved with him, hoping my mom would realize something was wrong
and come to rescue me.
I closed my eyes, ashamed, tears slipping down my cheeks.
Suddenly, a loud bang echoed from the door.
Ethan, visibly irritated, wrapped me in a blanket and went to open the door.
“Who’s bothering me now?”
Before he could finish, a punch landed on his face, knocking him to the ground.
It was Mike.
He glanced at me in panic before rushing toward Ethan, pummeling him with punch after
punch.
It looked like he was trying to kill Ethan.
I didn’t want anyone to get hurt, so I immediately shouted.
“Mike Brown! Calm down!”

Just as he turned his attention away, Ethan took the chance to land a punch on Mike’s face.
I quickly dressed and rushed toward them, trying to stop the fight.
“Stop! Both of you, stop!”
Ethan’s blows were heavy, and Mike ‘s lip was bleeding.
Before I could reach them, Mike groaned and looked at me with pain in his eyes.
“Baby, it hurts!”
Seeing this, Ethan tried to grab Mike again.
I immediately stepped in front of him and slapped Ethan across the face.
“I suggest you don’t touch him.”
Ethan looked at me in shock, then sneered.
“What’s your relationship with him?”
“I’m Grace Baker’s boyfriend.”
Mike stepped forward, holding my hand tightly and speaking with certainty.
I was taken aback but didn’t deny it.
“Yes, he’s my boyfriend.”
Ethan’s face twisted with pain, his eyes filling with tears as he asked cautiously,
“It’s all fake, right? You’re just using him to get back at me, aren’t you?”
Not wanting to drag it out, I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Mike on the lips.
Mike’s eyes widened, then he pulled me closer, deepening the kiss.

Ethan stood frozen, watching us walk out hand in hand.
He chased after us, but stopped when he saw a circle of bodyguards outside.
As Mike and I were about to leave, Ethan yelled after us.
“She’s been with me for six years. Just half a year later, you’re taking over? You really don’t
care, do you?”

I looked up at Mike’s face.
He released my hand, turned, and landed a powerful punch on Ethan’s face.
“I suggest you clean up your mouth.”
“Grace is a good girl, and it’s my blessing that she’s with me. Unlike you, I know how to cherish her.”
Ethan wiped the blood from his lip and stood up, glaring at us.
“You’ll regret this. I won’t let you get away with it. I’m going to sue you for breaking and entering! Just wait, I’ll make sure you end up in jail!”
Mike gave him a cold smile.
“Do whatever you want. I’ll be here for the long haul.”
He took my shoulder and we walked away.
Ethan called after us one last time.
“Grace! I won’t let you go!”
