Ethan, who had chased us, was stopped by the bodyguards.
I got into Mike ‘s car, following him as we left.
“You’ve been following me all this time?”
Mike nodded. “I couldn’t rest easy, so I decided to follow you.”
After a brief pause, he continued, “Actually, I know everything about you and Ethan.*
“My father is Jack Brown.”
I widened my eyes. His father was the president of the Brown Group. Does that mean….
Mike was also from the wealthy second–generation circle. No wonder he knew about it.
“I’ve never met you before.”
“I’ve been working abroad for years and rarely come back. Most of what I know about domestic matters comes from my childhood friend.”
Mike explained.
I nodded, then suddenly remembered asking him to pretend to be my boyfriend earlier.
“Thanks for earlier. It’s all my fault for being careless. I never thought he’d change so much
after six months.”
“Thanks for what?”
“For everything–rushing in, pretending to be my boyfriend, and so on. How did you know his address?”
Mike chuckled softly.
“If you want to thank me, then let me make it official. I’ve wanted to be your boyfriend for a long time.”

“As for the address, your mom gave it to me.”
I was stunned.
“You know my mom?”
Mike didn’t explain further but drove us to a restaurant.
In the private room, my mom had been waiting for a long time.
When she saw me, she rushed over and hugged me tightly, nearly crying.
“My Grace, my baby, I’ve missed you so much.”
“Let me see, did that beast do anything to you? He didn’t hurt you, did he?”
“Ethan stopped me from coming to get you, and I felt something was wrong, so I gave Mike
his address.”
Not wanting to worry my mom, I shook my head gently.
My mom looked at Mike with gratitude. “Thank goodness Mike was here. Thank you, Mike.”
I took my mom’s hand and asked, “Mom, how do you know Mike ?”
My mom froze for a moment and then asked softly, “Mike didn’t tell you?”
She pulled me down to sit.
Mike sat beside me and explained quietly:
“The first time I saw you on the street, I really liked you, so I did some digging. That’s how I found out who you are. My mom, in order to set us up, told your mom about it.”
My mom added, “I’m relieved knowing Mike is with you. Don’t be mad at him, okay?”
I felt a little touched inside.
“So, you working at the same company as me… was that also on purpose?”

Mike nodded gently, cautiously studying my expression.
My eyes became a little moist. “You fool.”
After being apart for half a year, I was finally able to reunite with my mom. We talked for a
long time today.
“Mom, I came back this time for you. I want to take you away. I feel like something’s wrong
with Ethan’s mental state, and I don’t want you staying here.”
My mom hesitated.
“But what about James ?”
“Once we settle abroad, we can bring James over. He’s worked hard for so many years. It’s
time for him to rest.”
After a brief hesitation, my mom agreed.
The next day, I helped my mom pack her things.
That’s when I realized that all the mall billboards in the city were covered with my photos,
and beside them was Ethan’s confession to me.
“Grace, there are people from Ethan outside the airport. He doesn’t seem to want us to
leave.”
My mom pulled my hand in anxiety.
I glanced at Mike with some worry. “It looks like we’ll have to delay for a few more days.”
Mike smiled faintly.
“Who says that? Are planes only at the airport?”
I immediately understood.
Mike drove us to a vast open
field.
Soon, a private jet arrived.

By the time Ethan realized what was happening, the three of us would already have landed.
To spend more time with my mom, I took a month off from work, and we traveled to
several countries.
At the last stop, under the aurora, Mike confessed to me, and I agreed.
Six months later, James also joined us.
However, he said that Ethan already knew where we were, so he would probably come
looking soon.
I held Mike’s hand tightly and rubbed my little belly.
“It’s fine. Let him come. Let him see how happy our little family is.”
In the end, in Milan Cathedral, surrounded by our loved ones, I married Mike.
I had finally found my love, and my life would be full of happiness from then on.
