Lorelei was sweet and a little girlish. Especially when she blinked, a faint smile would appear at the corners of her mouth, like a rose blooming quietly in the night..
Her rosy pheromones carried a captivating sweetness. Most men, even the most self–disciplined, would be tempted.
Their pupils would be drawn to the hint of amber in her eyes.
But Leon seemed completely oblivious to her beauty and charm. His pine pheromones remained steady focused solely on the discount for coffee beans.
He said, “Whatever discount you give my boss, give me the same.”
Lorelei laughed, her eyes shimmering with coquettishness. Her rosy pheromones thickened. “I can’t do that. Let me properly thank you for letting me go first. If you come to my shop, I’ll give you half a pound free for every pound you buy. How about that?”
Her pupils contracted, hiding a sly determination.
Leon brightened. His pine pheromones rippled with delight. “It’s a deal.”
“Deal!” Lorelei smiled at him, her smile like a valley lily–cool yet stunning.
Her rosy pheromones swirled, trying to entwine with his.
But Leon shifted his gaze to Jose, whose slow movements were truly testing his patience.
Turning back to Lorelei, Leon said clearly, “Aren’t you hungry? Why aren’t you eating?”
Lorelei raised a slender hand, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, revealing ruby–red earrings.
A faint wolf–claw shadow on her fingertips added to her coquettishness. “Seeing you, I got so happy I’m not -hungry anymore.”
Her rosy pheromones turned cloyingly sweet.
Leon chuckled, thinking, “If you’re not hungry, why didn’t you say so earlier? I let you go first, and now you say you’re not hungry. This is a waste of my time.”
A faint ripple of helplessness surfaced in his pine pheromones.
In truth, Lorelei was Wilorina.
She ate the Mexican taco with utmost elegance, barely opening her lips and lightly biting into it with her canines faintly visible.
Leon frowned and his pine pheromones turned slightly cold.
Jose’s tacos were thin–skinned, generously filled, and small–sized.

His wife Audrey could finish one in a few bites, but Wilorina ate so slowly.
She didn’t act like someone who was starving. Hungry ones would devour three at once.
If she wasn’t hungry, why had she insisted on going first? This woman probably wasn’t very nice.
Even if her coffee beans were cheap, he wouldn’t buy them.
Her “buy one, get half a pound free” offer was likely a scam.
Who knew if the free beans were moldy and dried out? He didn’t want to take that risk.
Leon’s wolf ears twitched slightly with caution.
Wilorina ate gracefully, thinking how she looked so elegant.

She knew Leon occasionally bought Mexican tacos, so she’d come here every day recently to get familiar with Jose.
That way, when she appeared tonight, Jose would recognize her.
“Mr. Olson, your order’s ready,” Jose called.
Leon quickly stood up, paid, and with his wolfish nimbleness, took the tacos.
“Keep the change,” he said, his pine pheromones softening a bit.
Jose sighed, “You’re too kind, Mr. Olson.”
“I’ll be back in a few days,” Leon said, turning to Wilorina, “I’m off now, Lorelei.“.
Wilorina smiled up at him through the steam from the tacos, her face mysterious. Her rosy pheromones swirled in the mist.
“Goodbye, Mr. Olson. Remember to visit my coffee shop.”
“Sure,” Leon said politely, then got into his car and left. His pine pheromones were sealed off as the door shut.
Wilorina’s smile collapsed. Her rosy pheromones turned cold and sharp.
She put down the taco and said coldly to her omega, “Settle the bill.”
Her pupils blazed with frustration.
Jose noticed she’d barely eaten.
“Lorelei, didn’t you say you were hungry? Is something wrong with tonight’s tacos?”
Wilorina forced a smile, her rosy pheromones stiffening slightly. “No, Jose. Your tacos are delicious. I’m just over–hungry and now have a stomachache.”
Jose said with a smile, “Over–hunger does that. Don’t skip dinner. Take care of yourself.”
