When Nancy came out of the building, she cast a sidelong glance at Ariel. Then, she strutted toward the Bentley and got into the car.
Ariel recognized the car. It was one of the vehicles Jayson owned.
Nancy clearly wasn’t leaving with Veyo Solutions‘ staff since Jayson had instructed someone to pick her up.
Chad furrowed his brows.
“Did Jayson ask someone to pick Nancy up because they’re planning to meet after this? He’s still doing all these things for her even after his relationship with Ariel has been exposed to the public?”
However, Chad kept those thoughts to himself.
Ariel didn’t think much of what had just happened. After entering the car, she started thinking about what kind of proposal would appeal more to the Department of Defense.
A while later, she noticed she had received a missed call from Samson. He had tried calling her two hours co.
Ariel hadn’t noticed the call since she had her phone on mute. Also, Samson didn’t call Ariel again after H
Ariel figured Samson would reach out to Chad or Janice if he needed to discuss work–related matters v urgently. If he had called her for personal reasons…
Ariel wasn’t going to return the call.
Sometimes, one must maintain some distance to avoid giving the other person the wrong impression.
When Ariel got back to the office, Janice brought her some news.
“Kristen Ulmer. Ms. Ulmer. Do you remember her?”
Ariel seemed a bit puzzled. “Of course. She’s Mr. Pryce’s boss.”
Janice showed Ariel a digital invitation card.
The Ulmer family would be holding an open exhibition soon. Someone in their family was probably involved in the art industry.
“Are we going to the exhibition? It’s happening this weekend. Let’s go and have a look,” Janice clung to Ariel’s arm and said in a pleading tone.
Ariel gave it some thought. Since Elena was an artist, Ariel had always been quite interested in things related to art. Moreover, they had received the invite to the event. Ariel nodded. “Sure.”
That weekend, Ariel and Janice arrived at their destination.
Janice explained, “This art museum was established by the Ulmer family. Normally, they have artworks made by renowned artists on exhibit in the museum.
“The artworks created by local and international artists are categorized by their styles and displayed in the respective spaces. It seems like a member of the Ulmer family has organized today’s art exhibition.”
The Ulmer family was a wealthy, prominent family. According to rumors, the Ulmers had spent a fortune building this art museum. Sometimes, they would rent out the spaces for people who wished to hold their art exhibitions there.
Ariel was quite impressed when she saw the artworks that were on display. She walked around the exhibition area

to view the various works.
They were mostly realism oil paintings, which created a strong visual impact for the visitors at first glance. Ariel admired those artworks and the artist’s style. She felt as though part of the emotions in these paintings could seep out of the canvases and penetrate the viewer’s mind.
She took a glance at the artist’s signature. Someone named Aurelia signed it.
The artist had a really distinctive style in her works. Ariel couldn’t help but feel a bit curious and wanted to get to know the artist better.
“Ms. Walker?” A woman’s gentle voice came from behind her.
Ariel turned around and spotted Kristen standing nearby. Kristen studied Ariel’s expression and smiled faintly.” We meet again. I’ve heard quite a lot about you recently.”
Whether it was regarding Ariel’s work or personal relationship, Kristen had heard about the relevant incidents.
Ariel had a lot of respect for Kristen. She gave a slight nod. “Ms. Ulmer.”
Kristen’s first impression of Ariel was favorable. She said, “No wonder you wouldn’t tell me who develor flight control system when I asked you about it last time. Ms. Walker, you’ve given me quite a surprise
Ariel responded humbly, “You flatter me, Ms. Ulmer.”

“I’ve also heard about how you and Bluum Corp’s Mr. Larkin are actually married.” Kristen narrowed her eyes.
Ariel was calm and relaxed. “That may be so. However, I’m just me.”
Kristen understood the meaning behind those words. She smiled. “You know very well what you want in life. I’m sure you’ll go on to achieve greater things in the future, Ms. Walker.”
Ariel wouldn’t let herself be defined by her status as Jayson’s wife. She was Ariel Walker.
People were already deeply impressed by her current achievements. Yet, Ariel probably had a lot more to offer.
There were other guests around them, and most of them knew Kristen. They also saw how Kristen had expressed her approval and acknowledgment of Ariel.
Just then, Kristen looked in a certain direction. Her brows arched. “Ms. Walker, your husband is here.”
