Cecilia was far more spontaneous and uninhibited than Ariel had imagined. Ashford University’s invitation for you to speak at such a prestigious event is a big deal. It’ll definitely boost your standing in the academic community. Are you feeling nervous?”
It was a rare and valuable opportunity.
Delivering a speech at the university’s anniversary would place Ariel in the spotlight, marking her as a rising star in academia.
Truthfully, Ariel was a little nervous. It was her first time making such a public appearance, and she would be speaking in front of many people she admired and respected. The pressure felt very real.
“Well, a bit. But I’m okay. I’ll feel better soon,” she said with a cheerful tone, her voice lifting slightly at the end. Chad chuckled. “So, little Ari gets nervous too, huh? Don’t worry. My old man will be here. We’ll all be cheering you on. Just keep your head up and charge forward.”
Ariel nodded.
With an hour left before the ceremony began, she took the opportunity to walk around the campus. She saw many young students whose eyes sparkled with excitement and hope for the future.
Surrounded by that energy, Ariel felt a surge of vitality. Her heart felt lighter, and even her steps seemed more buoyant.
After a while, she and Chad made their way to the main hall As they entered, they saw the spacious venue packed with attendees.
