It sounded like Shannon was complaining, but both Myra and Beatrice knew she was showing off, and they trembled with anger. Pointing at Shannon, Beatrice stamped her foot hard. “You… Shannon, you’re so shameless.”
“And you’re funny,” Shannon smiled, “what did I do? I’m Randall’s wife. Why can’t I use his card? It’s not against the law, is it? Why am I shameless?”
She felt great when seeing how pissed off Beatrice was. Anyone who wrongly thought of her as a pushover would get what they deserved.
Myra was livid. She held Beatrice’s wrist and looked at Shannon sternly. “Double the price? Alright.” She figured that her family wasn’t inferior to the Rowes, and she couldn’t afford to be overshadowed by Shannon at a place like this.
Looking at Shannon, Myra said arrogantly with disdain, “Whatever you bid, I’ll double it. Small change like this? I’ve got it to spare. But do you? Don’t go running your mouth and then fail to put your money where it counts.”
Shannon smiled, took a black card from her bag, and put it on the counter, “See? It’s an unlimited black card, and it’s the main card no less. Stop thinking I’m talking big.
“Besides, when Randall came to my family to propose a marriage, he gave me over 30 billion dollars as my gift. It’s just sitting in the bank collecting dust. So even if I don’t use this card, I could still buy out this whole store.”
Myra’s expression changed drastically. In her mind, though Randall had married Shannon, it was because of a certain particular reason; he didn’t love her. So, of course, he wouldn’t be so nice to her.
As for what Shannon said, it was just a lie as she was trying to look good. That was why she wanted to expose Shannon. Yet at the sight of the black card, she was dumbfounded.
Her husband was the man in charge of the Gross family, and he had a black card like this. But she had only seen it and had never touched it.
She narrowed her eyes slightly, and the muscles in her face throbbed. Now that Shannon had the black card, she might really lose to Shannon today. She regretted it, saying, “Since…”
However, Shannon wouldn’t give her the chance to change her mind. Shannon tapped the counter with the card, saying, “What is it, Mrs. Gross? You regret it now that
black card?” you see my
Myra was choked on her question.
Annoyed by the complacent expression on Shannon’s face, Beatrice snorted, “Regret? Over this little bit of money? Who do you think you’re kidding?”
Shannon nodded. “You’re right–it’s just a little money. If you two couldn’t afford this, I’d seriously start wondering if the Grosses are about to declare bankruptcy.”
Myra was pissed off. She glared at Shannon, took a card out of her purse, and slammed it on the register. “I’ll pay with this card.”
Seeing how annoyed Myra was, Shannon deliberately looked shocked. “Mrs. Gross, you’re rich indeed, spending millions of dollars without any hesitation. I envy you so much.”
Sighing, she continued, “Unlike you, I can’t bear to spend this much money so easily. This is Randall’s card, after all. I won’t feel at ease if spend so much money in one go.”
Myra was speechless. Buying the ginseng at such a price wasn’t exactly a bad deal, but Shannon’s words bugged her a lot.
Shannon looked away with satisfaction and tapped the ginseng she had her eyes on at the beginning. “Put this on my tab. I’ll

settle it all at once at the end of the month.”
The cashier nodded and then carefully put the packed box of ginseng in Shannon’s hands.

Before Shannon could hold it still, Beatrice suddenly ran over and snatched the box away. “What are you doing? We called dibs on this at first.”
Shannon pulled a long face. “Beatrice, I’ve let you have so many things–not because I’m afraid of you, but because I didn’t want to make a scene. Give it back now, and I’ll pretend this didn’t happen.”
Holding the box, Beatrice sneered and looked at her dominéeringly, “No. As I said, we called dibs. Why should I give it to you?” Turning to the cashier, she spoke arrogantly, “We’ll pay for this now.”
The cashier’s expression changed slightly. “I’m sorry, Miss Gross, but you can’t have it. This lady here has already booked it before coming here.”
“Cut the crap. You’re not selling it to her. I’ll take this, or I’ll simply smash the box here. And don’t worry–I can afford to pay for the damages.” Beatrice looked at Shannon defiantly with her chin held high.
The cashier and the shop assistant were both stunned as they had never seen someone so unreasonable. “Miss Gross, we’ll have to call security if you keep this up.”
Smirking, Beatrice said, “Go ahead. I’ll see what you can do to me.”
The two were indeed intimidated by her status and didn’t dare to do anything. They exchanged a look, realizing that the situation was clearly out of their hands, so they immediately called Dean Tucker, the manager.
“Beatrice, they’re terrified of you, but not me. I’ll say this to you one last time. Give it back now,” Shannon squinted slightly while looking at Beatrice with a dangerous smile.
Beatrice was intimidated, but she soon collected herself, rolling her eyes. “No. What can you do? You want to beat me up again like you did at the racetrack? Not going to happen, Shannon. You know what? I have my bodyguards with me today.”
Shannon remained unfazed. “You brought your bodyguards with you when going shopping? Seems you’re terrified by what happened that day. Unfortunately, they’re no match for me at all
Beatrice thought she was talking big and laughed. But in the next second, she was sent flying.
Her laughter stopped abruptly, and as she looked down, she saw a shoe print of Shannon on her clothes. It took her a long time to realize what had happened; then she screamed.
Myra couldn’t believe what had happened. She panicked at once ran over, and grabbed Beatrice’s shoulders worriedly. “Are you OK, Beatrice?”
Beatrice was about to cry. Grabbing Myra’s hand, she screamed, “Get her! I’ll kick her back.”
