Chapter 36
Nikolai’s POV
I buried my face into the pillow, trying to block out the sounds coming from the bathroom. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t drown him out.
His voice. His moans. The way he groaned my name like a desperate, needy man.
I squeezed my eyes shut, willing my body not to react, but it was impossible. Heat coiled low in my stomach, and shame burned through me as I felt the uncomfortable tightness in my pants.
This wasn’t right.
Alessandro was a monster. He had humiliated me, forced me into this marriage, taken everything from me. And yet, here I was, flushed and trembling because of him.
I dug my nails into my palm, trying to ignore the traitorous shiver that ran down my spine when he growled out my name again, voice thick with pleasure. He wasn’t even trying to be quiet. He wanted me to hear. He wanted me to know exactly what he was doing in there.
My face burned. I hated him. I hated him so much.
The sound of the shower turned off, and my heart pounded as I realized what that meant. I barely had time to scramble into a sitting position before Alessandro strolled out–completely naked.
I slapped my hands over my eyes, heat flooding my cheeks.
“Put some damn clothes on!” I snapped, unable to hide the mortification in my voice.
To my absolute horror, he laughed. “You already saw me naked. You even had my dick in your mouth. Why so shy now?”
“Because I actually have decency, unlike you!” I shot back, feeling my skin crawl with embarrassment.
A blanket suddenly hit my face. I grabbed it instinctively, gripping the fabric like a lifeline as he moved around the room, completely unfazed by my reaction.
“You don’t have any kind of scruples, do you?!” I demanded, peeking between my fingers to check if he was finally clothed.
He buttoned his shirt lazily, smirking at me in the mirror. “Why should I feel ashamed in your presence? After all, you’re
my
husband now. You’ll be hearing those sounds every day from now on. Maybe even several times a day. You should get
used to it.”
I grimaced in disgust. “You’re vile.”
He chuckled, clearly enjoying my misery. “You want to take a shower?”
I stiffened, realizing too late that his gaze had dropped lower. My blood ran cold when I saw the knowing smirk curl on his lips.
“I can see why,” he murmured, eyes locked onto the obvious bulge in my pants.

I yanked the blanket over my lap, mortified. “This isn’t because of you!”
“Really?” He cocked his head, pretending to consider my words. “So you were thinking of someone else while I was jacking off in the shower?”
I clenched my jaw, refusing to give him the satisfaction of an answer. Crossing my arms, I glared at him. “That’s none of your business.”
His smirk faded slightly, something dark flashing in his eyes. “It is my business,” he said, voice lower now. “The only person you’re allowed to think about like that is me. And only me.”
Possessive bastard.
I forced myself to stand. “I want to take a shower in my own room,” I announced.
“Go ahead,” Alessandro said, sounding almost amused. But just as I reached for the door, his next words made my body go
rigid.
“But you’re still sleeping in my room tonight.”
I froze, hands clenching into fists. “No, I’m not.” I spun around, eyes blazing.
Alessandro barely spared me a glance as he adjusted his cufflinks. “I wasn’t asking, Nikolai.”
His indifference made my anger burn hotter. “I don’t care what you were doing. I’m not sleeping in the same room as you.”
He sighed as if I was exhausting him, then turned his cold gaze on me. “You don’t have to sleep in my room. You just have to be in my bed.”
I clenched my fists. “Why? Just to prove you own me?”
His lips curled slightly, but there was no amusement in his expression. “You should have figured that out by now.” My chest tightened, a mix of frustration and helplessness flooding me. “You’re unbelievable,” I muttered, turning toward the
door.
“Where do you think you’re going?” His voice was quiet but sharp as a blade.
“My room.”
Alessandro didn’t stop me. He didn’t grab me or force me back. He simply adjusted his sleeves and spoke, voice void of
emotion.
“Go ahead.”
I hesitated, confused by how easily he was letting me leave. I expected him to fight me, to demand obedien he just stood there, fixing his tie like I was nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
but instead,
“Run if it makes you feel better,” he continued, his tone as cold as ice. “But you’ll be back. And when you come crawling, don’t expect me to be gentle.”
My breath caught in my throat. His words sent a shiver down my spine, but I refused to let him see it. Without another word, I yanked the door open and stormed down the hall, slamming it shut behind me.

The moment I was alone in my own room, I exhaled sharply, my body tense with anger.
Damn him.
Damn the way his words got under my skin.
I threw myself onto the bed, gripping the sheets as frustration coiled in my chest. No matter how much I hated him, no matter how much I wanted to fight…
A part of me knew he was right.
And that terrified me the most.
I didn’t want to be a gay.
This… this wasn’t me. This wasn’t what I had planned, what I had imagined for myself. I had been forced into this situation, pushed into a life I never asked for. And now, here I was, tangled up in Alessandro’s web, feeling things I had no right to feel, no matter how much I tried to convince myself otherwise.
I slammed my fist into the mattress, cursing under my breath.
So soon I was going to sin.
