Chapter 10
Sitting in Vincent’s car,
I felt a little uncomfortable.
Noticing the awkward atmosphere in the car, Vincent was the first to speak up to explain.
“The reason I left right after I dropped you off that day was because there was an urgent matter at the company.”
And these past few days, thanks to you, I’ve managed to take control of Howard Films‘ shares. This is for you.
”
He said as he pulled out a document.
When he opened it, it revealed that 95% of the shares of Howard Films were now under my name.
“This… this doesn’t seem right,” I hesitated.
Vincent, holding the steering wheel, slightly turned his head toward me, his usual stoic expression softening as he smiled.
“What’s wrong? You’re my wife now. Isn’t this what should happen?”
“Who’s your wife?!”
Vincent’s expression became a little serious. “What? Are you trying to back out?”
“Of course not. I always do what I say!”
“Well, that’s good then.”
Seeing the smug look on Vincent’s face, I suddenly realized this wasn’t the way to my house.
Before I could speak up, the car came to a steady stop.
“Let’s go.” Vincent raised an eyebrow.
I looked at him, confused. “Where to?”
pointed toward a red sign near the door.
Only then did I see the large characters that read “Marriage Registration Office.”
I didn’t bring my ID. Can we do this another day?”
“I brought it,” he said, pulling out my ID card from his pocket, looking pleased.
“I had your agent prepare it for you ahead of time.”
After walking out of the Marriage Registration Office,
I still felt a bit dazed. Just like that, I had become a married celebrity.
Then I looked at Vincent, who had been grinning ever since we got the marriage certificate, looking
smug and carefree.
I stared at him for a while before speaking softly.
“I feel like I’ve been tricked onto a pirate ship. Honestly, did you already plan this?”
Vincent’s ears instantly turned red, and his lips gently landed on mine.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time, my wife.”
The sudden kiss made my face flush in an instant.
