Mistress?
I laughed at Noel, and he said with a cold face, “You never let me into the hotel room, is it because he is inside?“!
“If Megan hadn’t shown me the surveillance footage, I wouldn’t have even known that you had found a new job so quickly.”
“No wonder you were determined to divorce me, huh? But would the Aguilar family agree to let someone like you in? A woman with an average education and no culture, how could you measure up to the standards of the Aguilar family?”
If it were in the past, being humiliated by Noel like this, I would probably have gone crazy a long time ago.
But now, I just find him a bit ridiculous.
I said lightly, “Noel, you’re right. The Aguilar family would never be interested in someone like me,
with an average education and no culture. They don’t have the same low standards as you do.”
Noel exclaimed angrily, “Lara! When did you become so sharp–tongued?”
Rayan laughed coldly and said, “Lara, what kind of person she was, you never understood.”
He paused for a moment and then continued, “But I can’t blame you for that either. Lara married
you just to save her life. The person you : she wasn’t the real her.”
Noel looked at me in confusion, his face tense, and asked, “What does he mean by saying this? What does it mean when he says you married me to save your life?”
Actually, this was already the second time he had heard this statement, but I never told him the
reason.
I ignored him and took my things to leave. However, he became anxious and chased after me, saying, “Lara, explain it to me!”
Rayan stood in front of him, and the two of them confronted each other, refusing to back down.
I walked out of the restaurant and saw the butler holding Odin next to my car.
He still stubbornly refused to speak, still the proud and haughty scion of the Delacruz family, the * future heir of the esteemed Delacruz family.
But in his gaze, there was something that hadn’t been there before, like curiosity, and even more like attachment.
But I referred to all these emotions as “being stupid“.

I didn’t even have the desire to talk to him.
Odin saw me about to leave and mustered up the courage to shout, “Mom, I want to eat the minced meat and stewed eggs you made. Can you go back and make it for me to eat?”
I looked at his expectant gaze and couldn’t help but think of the summer vacation a year ago. Noel’s parents were going abroad for a trip, and Odin fell ill, so he was sent to me.
I was very happy, finding different ways to cook for him every day, and he would always finish everything.
However, after eating, he would just criticize the dishes I made as unappetizing, like pig food that only poor people would eat.
The servants couldn’t help but burst into laughter when they heard that.
My face turned red, but he remained oblivious. “But Mom is just an ordinary person, so it’s normal
for her not to be able to cook like a gourmet chef.”
A year later, he wanted to eat the minced meat and stewed eggs I made.
I gently touched his head and saw a smiling version of myself in his bright eyes. “How can my skills compare to the chef hired by your grandparents? If you want to eat, go find them.”
“Also, your dad and I got divorced. Don’t come looking for me even if there’s nothing to do. I find it
annoying.”
Odin’s eyes turned red in an instant, trembling lips wanting to come and hug me, but were stopped
by my disgusted gaze.
Until Rayan and I left, his crying did not stop. I thought that after Noel witnessed my determination, he would no longer bother me, but to my surprise, he came again the next day.
When he saw me open the door, his tired eyes were filled with affection, and he said, “I want to apologize to you, I… I have already found out that Megan misunderstood your relationship with
Rayan.”
I sneered and said, “Is it a genuine misunderstanding or a deliberate attempt to make you believe that I had already cheated within my marriage? I think you know better than me.”
Noel frowned slightly.
He naturally knew that Megan was deliberately framing me, but he still chose to defend his sister, “Megan… she has been spoiled by us since childhood.”
“She has already apologized to me. She said she was just angry with you for wanting to divorce me because of Alisa, which made me sad, so she wanted to teach you a lesson.”
Odin also spoke up for her, “Mom, Auntie already knows she was wrong: We are a family, and at
