Clarence smiled as he watched the elevator doors close, thinking, “When will you stop!

Surprised, Seraphina didn’t expect Clarence to notice so quickly. “What’s different?”

Seraphina spoke those words in a calm tone, but Clarence suddenly felt a bit down. He recalled the restrictions he initially placed on Seraphina and felt a twinge of guilt.
