Chapter 52
At the studio, Stephanie had been stuck in meetings all afternoon.
Just as the clock hit six, her phone rang. It was Sebastian. “Come down. I’m parked outside the building,” he said.
“You know you can’t park there, right? Why not just go to the underground garage?” said Stephanie.
“Exactly. So hurry up,” Sebastian simply replied.
“Alright,” Stephanie hung up the phone, and hastily shoved a bunch of documents and gadgets into her limited edition designer bag.
Her assistant, Jennifer, watched in horror. “Miss, that’s a collector’s item,” she couldn’t help but reminded her.
“Huh? Is it?” Stephanie replied. She had no idea.
‘Seriously?‘ Jennifer thought. She was stunned. How could someone be so clueless? Did Stephanie not realize how expensive her things were when she bought them?
Their studio’s annual profits weren’t even that high, yet she spent money like it grew on trees. And the gifts–she had handed out luxury items to the staff like they were freebies.
For someone who had broken off her engagement with the Ashford family, she was still spending like royalty. Was Stephanie secretly some rich heiress?
Jennifer started to doubt. The Hart family definitely didn’t spoil her that much… Otherwise, why would she be out here running a studio?
“Alright, I went over everything in the meeting. Keep an eye on things,” Stephanie instructed.
Jennifer nodded. “Got it.”
With that, Stephanie strode out.
The moment she stepped outside, she spotted the flashy car parked down the street.
She quickly walked over, and it was then when her phone buzzed again.
She had been fielding calls from major clients all day, so she answered without checking. “Hello?”
“Stephanie, Where are you?” A voice, low and heavy with restrained anger, came through the line..
Even through the phone, Stephanie could hear the fury simmering beneath the surface. It was Tyler.
Stephanie rolled her eyes. “What do you
want?”
“Call Dr. Pierce and tell her to come back, now,” growled Tyler.
“Who do you think you are, Tyler?” Stephanie snorted. “Why don’t you call her yourself?”
The air on the other end of the line went dead quiet for a moment.
“Stephanie!” Tyler’s voice came through, his anger now completely uncontained. “You’ve really lost all sense of decency, huh?”
“Decency?” Stephanie grinned. “Am I breaking the law or something?”

Chapter 52
Tyler ground his teeth together. “Say that again and I swear…”
“Oh please,” Stephanie smirked. “You’re so out of touch, you wouldn’t know what’s going on if it hit you in the face.”
That was the last straw. Tyler’s patience snapped. He shouted to the phone. “Stephanie! Where the hell are you?”
“If you’re so smart, why don’t you find me yourself?” Stephanie shot back. And then–click. She hung up.
On the other end, Tyler nearly threw his phone against the wall. Stephanie was really pushing him to the edge.
First, he couldn’t find her at Cloudridge Valley.
Then, he came back to the hospital, tried calling–only to realize she had blocked him.
It took forever to borrow someone else’s phone, and just when he finally got through, she roasted him like a marshmallow over an open flame.
Now? He was ready to hunt her down and wring her neck.

Catlin, who had overheard everything, sighed deeply. “She really hates us that much? What did we ever do to deserve this?”
Tyler rage flared. “What did we do? We gave her everything–everything! And this is how she
