Chapter 6
I was awakened by the sound of passionate moans.
My room had poor soundproofing–even the slightest noise next door came through with crystal clarity.
Olivia’s voice was honey–sweet, feigning reluctance.
“Is this really okay? What if we disturb your sister?”
I instantly realized Eldric was doing this deliberately.
Our parents slept in the master bedroom downstairs, and there were plenty of empty rooms on the second and third floors.
Yet they deliberately chose the room right next to mine.
Sure enough, I heard his casual tone.
“If she’s disturbed, that’s her problem. Does a brother need his sister’s permission to do what couples do?”
“Besides, we’re not even blood relatives, so I have even less reason to consider her feelings.”
“Baby, open your legs wider.”
“Easy on the tongue. Easy.”
Olivia purred, “I know the first love she can’t get over is you. I deliberately gave her a hard time at dinner.”
“After all, a sister lusting after her brother is disgusting.”
Eldric chuckled softly, “You’re her sister–in–law. It’s only right that you put her in her place.”
“Focus now, baby. Let’s not talk about her anymore.”
“Mmm, don’t bite me like that…”
Olivia had quite the voice.
Sweet and melodious, almost as if she were performing deliberately for my benefit.
I unlocked my phone and found Kaelan’s WhatsApp conversation.

[Can’t sleepd
I sent it and immediately recall the message.
He instantly video called me.
But I declined.
He frantically typed: [Did Eldric bully you again?]
(Sorry, wrong chat.]
[Besides me, who else were you planning to message?]
Kaelan’s possessiveness was overwhelming. Even without seeing him face–to–face, I could imagine his expression right now.
His narrow eyes would be piercing, his lips curled in a cold smile.
While I was lost in thought, another message came through.
[No divorce. We’ll go public. I’ll come over and support you, okay?]
I wanted to say no.
But before I could reply, someone knocked on my door.
Eldric stood there, his white shirt hanging loosely on his frame, several crimson kiss marks visible on his
collarbone.
He leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed, explaining lazily:
“I only used my hands. I didn’t actually sex with her.”
My expression turned wary. “That’s none of my business.”
He smiled. Then closed the door. Locked it.
In the darkness, he slowly pressed toward me.
“Seraphina, it must have been several years since we last saw each other. I thought you’d never come back.”
I tried to remain calm.
“No matter what, this is still my home. You’ll always be my brother.”

I was reminding him. But my words only earned a cold laugh.
“Calling me ‘brother‘ won’t help.”
“I just turned her down. Want to guess why?”
I remained silent.
Eldric leaned close to my ear, his scorching breath beating against my eardrum.
“Because for my first time in the New Year, I’d rather be with you.”
