She folded her arms in front of her chest/“We have surveillance video now. Why are you leaving? Chloe, are you feeling guilty?”
Ethan snorted coldly, “What has she done wrong? Chloe is just injured and needs to go to the hospital for treatment.” “Then let’s wait for them to check the surveillance footage. Ethan held up Chloe and then looked at Alice, saying,“I’m taking her to the hospital. Once the security footage proves her innocence, I’ll see to it that you are held responsible for hurting Chloe.”
Alice saw through Chloe’s trick.
She spoke up loudly, “Chloe, you may run away today, but you can’t run away forever. The surveillance footage will be proof.”
Chloe, leaning in Ethan’s arms, was so scared that her eyelashes fluttered, but she dared not open her eyes. “Chloe isn’t running away. Alice, just you wait!” Ethan stormed off with Chloe in his arms.
Watching how terrified Chloe was, Alice laughed,“Aren’t you tough? Now you’re running away in fear?” Jack whispered, “I could stop them.”
Without his permission, the police couldn’t even come upstairs.
“That’s unnecessary.”
Alice waved her hand.
“This is a great opportunity to embarrass them. Do you want to let it slip away?”
“The surveillance camera is broken, not that I want to let them off.”
Alice had observed the surveillance camera earlier. There was no infrared reaction. It was broken.
Although she really wanted to expose Chloe’s lies with the surveillance footage and humiliate Ethan, Chloe got lucky this time.

Jack’s lips curled into a smile. “Don’t worry. The Wilson Group will invest in your company.”
“Are you so sure? Did you just meet with Mr. Wilson?”
Jack coughed, guiltily answering, “Yeah, I did.”
“So, how did the meeting go?”
“Not bad.”
“But I heard Mr. Wilson is difficult to deal with. He’s probably a very picky person. I didn’t expect you to have talked it over so quickly.”
Jack frowned slightly.“Who told you he’s difficult to deal with?”
“Everyone says so. I saw him over here just now.”

As soon as Alice finished speaking, he flicked her forehead.
Jack’s gaze was meaningful.“Do you know him that well, even his personal life?”
“I’m just guessing. Anyway, men from wealthy families fool around.”
Alice came from a top–tier affluent family in New York. Thus, she was accustomed to the lifestyles of the wealthy.
Jack was at a loss for words for a moment.
Alice suddenly looked around.“Have you noticed how quiet it is around here? No one else is present.”
Jack remained calm.“Are you hungry?”
“Yes. Let’s go. I guess this place has been reserved by Mr. Wilson. We should leave.”
Jack glanced at her.“How do you like your new house?”
“It’s okay. Would you like to have dinner at my house? I’d be happy to show you around my new home.”
“Yes, I’d love to.”
Jack was still thinking about how to avoid being seen by acquaintances. Going to her newly purchased house was the best choice.
He currently didn’t want Alice to know who he really was.
They took the elevator downstairs together. As they reached the dining hall, a middle–aged man suddenly approached them and said, “Mr. Wilson, long time no see!”
Alice looked over in surprise, thinking, “What did this man call Jack, Mr. Wilson?”
