Max grumbled, “Yes, he hates interruptions. He clears everyone out wherever he goes. I wonder where Alice is hiding.”
“Ms. Garcia, Alice is probably hiding somewhere. When they leave, we can find Alice.”

Hearing Max’s words, Chloe felt a surge of glee.

He fetched iced water and walked to the bed. Alice seemed to be naked with her arms on the blanket.
Her dress lay on the floor.
Seeing this scene, his eyes turned even darker.
He walked to Alice’s side.“Drink some water.”
Alice was too weak to sit up.
Jack held her, and the blanket was slipping down. He hastily tucked her up.

Their faces were close. His gaze was intense.
Jack was turned on, and it was a familiar feeling for him. After all, he was a man.
Alice wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
She was not a good kisser. She acted as if she was biting him.
Jack cupped her chin, his eyes dark and dangerous.“Alice, be sober. Look at who I am!”
“I know who you are!”
Alice cupped his face.“If I have to choose, I’ll choose you.”
