Chapter 21
Chapter 21
Listening to the melodious music on the dance floor, Sylvia was tasting some chocolate cake, which was made by a seven–star chef from France
All of a sudden, a man’s broad palm came into her sight.
“Miss, I wonder if I might have the honor of inviting you to dance?”
She looked up. When she saw Edgar, she instantly lost her appetite.
Their eyes met.
Edgar felt that his heart skipped a beat. It was the first time that he had carefully observed Sylvia’s face from such a close distance. He found that every part of her face was just right, and her fair and flawless
skin rendered her even more beautiful.
It turned out that his ex–wife was indeed beautiful.
Especially her eyes. They were sparkling, clear, and firm, which faintly revealed a trace of stubbornness.
Edgar couldn’t help but be stunned.
Sylvia’s eyes gave him the feeling of deja vu.
While he was in a daze, Sylvia suddenly smiled sarcastically. Looking indifferent and disdainful, she said,
“I’m sorry, Mr. Fallen, but you’re not qualified to dance with me.”
At her words, the onlookers who happened to pass by were scared out of their wits!
They all thought that Sylvia was too arrogant!
How dare she say that Mr. Fallen, the most powerful man in Frant City… was not qualified to dance with
her!
Quickly, Edgar turned indifferent. The sense of familiarity that he had felt just now was completely gone upon hearing her words.
He maintained his gentlemanly posture and replied with a fake smile, “It’s just a dance. Miss Sylvia, are you afraid?”
Sylvia’s eyes quickly turned cold as she thought, “Is he going to pester me to the end?
“Why is this man so cheap? Can’t he understand what I’m saying?”

Chapter 21
When their eyes met again, there was a faint hint of hostility in them.
Seeing that these two were getting more and more tense, Patric stood up with a smile,
He said, “Sylvia is my female companion. Mr. Fallen, you don’t have to steal her from me.”
Reluctantly, Edgar pulled his hand back. Patric glanced to the side, saying, “Mr. Fallen, you’d better invite your own female companion. Don’t make her jealous.*
Edgar just stood there motionless.
Sylvia was a little annoyed. After whispering something to Patric, she left the main hall and went to the garden to relax.
Edgar wanted to follow her, but Patric pulled him away to socialize with the other executives, which delayed him.
Nancy and Mia couldn’t hear what they were talking about on the side. Even so, they could clearly see that Sylvia and Edgar were looking at each other affectionately.
Mia glared at Sylvia’s back resentfully, saying, “That bitch! They’re divorced, but she’s still haunting Edgar!”
On the other hand, Nancy felt so wronged that her eyes turned red.
“Sylvia… maybe Sylvia really likes Edgar. And if he developed feelings for her over these three years, then I’m willing to give up and fulfill their wish.”
As she spoke, she sobbed with grievance.
Hearing that she was going to give up on Edgar, Mia panicked.
“Don’t! How can you quit now, Nancy? I only recognize you as my sister–in–law. That bitch! I hate her so
much! As long as I’m here, she’ll never marry back into the Fallen family!”
Not only did Nancy fail to stop crying, but she also felt even more aggrieved. She looked extremely
helpless.
“But, Mia, what else can I do?”
Mia glared at her exasperatedly and looked in the direction where Sylvia had left. After thinking for a
while, she suddenly had an idea.
“Nancy, leave this matter to me. I will definitely ruin this bitch’s reputation and make her unqualified to compete with you anymore!”

“Mia, what are you going to do?”
Mia moved closer and whispered a few words into her ear.
Looking naive, Nancy asked, “Is that really okay?”
“Just wait and see!”
After that, Mia smiled viciously, got up, and walked toward the garden.
After she left, Nancy no longer looked aggrieved, and a trace of pride flashed across her eyes.
She thought, “Mia Fallen is such an idiot. She fell into my trap with just a few words.
“I hope she won’t let me down!”
