Chapter 34
Eros POV
It was 7 o’clock on the dot when Ares, Athena, and I finally managed to make it downstairs for dinner. Our sexy time in the shower has taken a little longer than it should have but when you have a mate who’s as sexy as Athena who could keep their hands off, certainly not Ares or I.
“Happy to see you could finally join us” replies a voice, drawing our attention towards our mother, Luna Gwen who had a knowing smile to her.
“Yes, Sorry mother” I reply sheepishly, as we move to enter the room. Looking around the room I can’t help but notice that almost the entire pack was there just as we moved to sit with our parents, Ares next to mother, Athena in the middle and then me, our Beta, Gamma and Delta also
present.
“Didn’t think you’d invite the whole pack mother” replies Ares, as he moves to look at her. “Well, I did. It’s important for our pack to see and welcome who our new Luna will be” smiles Gwen, her eyes shining with happiness. “I see you both have already marked her as well” adds Gwen noticing
the marks.
“Ah, well yes..yes we did” murmurs Ares, not wanting the whole pack to know as Athena blushes. “But I think that’s enough for now don’t you think mother?” I add, before our mother could
respond.
Giggling, our mother simply smiles, her mood happy as father moves to gather everyone’s attention. “Excuse me everyone” calls Alarick, the pack all looking towards him. “Today marks a
special occasion, for as you all know my sons, Ares and Eros have been searching for their mate for a while. But after much searching and faith in the Moon Goddess, they have finally found her. Please, allow me to introduce to you Athena, Athena Moonblood, your new future Luna.”
At the mention of a new Luna, the whole pack erupted into cheers before many congratulations. could be heard just as servers began to serve tonight’s dinner. “Thank you… Alpha Alarick, Luna Gwen. Your hospitality has been wonderful. I hope that someday, when I’m Luna, I’ll be half as good as you are” admits Athena as she moves to look at the Alpha and Luna.
“Nonsense my dear, you’ll do wonderful. I’m sure when you’re Luna you’ll do amazing things for this pack. All you have to do is trust and believe in yourself along with your mates” smiles Gwen, her eyes watching that of her future daughter–in-law.
“Thank you, and I will, Promise” smiles Athena, just as the food was served.
“The food looks amazing” remarks Athena, her eyes looking to that of her plate once the food was

placed in front of her.
“Thank you, our chef is amazing. He definitely loves to cook” admits Alarick with a chuckle. “Speaking of cooking and kitchens, where’s Maya?” asks Athena, when she doesn’t see her friend
at dinner.
“Maya is um… busy” answers Kai, unsure of how to tell his Luna. “Busy? With what?” questions Athena as she turns to look at Kai. “Well, you see… When we were showing Maya around the pack earlier, Maya came across a scent, so we followed it only for it to lead us towards the training.
grounds” replies Seth.
“Okay and?” pushes Athena, not realizing what they were saying just yet. “Well that scent she was smelling was from none other than her mate. Our top warrior and 1st in his unit, Grant. Fine warrior too” smiles Sam, glad his fellow pack mate had finally found his mate.
“WHAT? NO WAY” exclaims Athena, her excitement rising. “Maya found her mate? That’s amazing.”
“Indeed, once they both accepted one another, they both left to explore on their own. Haven’t seen Maya since” chuckles Kai, a knowing look on his face.
“Well, seems like another congratulations will be in order for the pair once they leave the safety of the bedroom” chuckles Ares, as he moves to look at his mate.
Blushing, Athena returns her focus back towards her food. “Cute” I whisper, just low enough for her to hear as I move to rest my hand to her thigh, the dress she was wearing stopping at mid- thigh as she sat. At the touch of my hand, her legs squeeze together as if trying to keep her mind. from going elsewhere.
“Mate likes‘ purrs Deimos, her scent enough to drive him wild.
‘Easy there… not in front of the pack‘ I tell him.
“Who’s gonna know… besides, if anyone says anything they’ll have to answer to us‘ remarks Deimos as he puffs out his chest proudly.
‘I know, but we can’t go around causing trouble. Mother and Father would kill us if we did‘ I say, knowing it to be true.
Just then, I hear it, the annoying voice of none other than Lily, the pack whore. “Luna?-Ha… She’s not fit to be Luna of this pack. She doesn’t even have a home or a pack” scoffs Lily to her group of friends, who just so happened to be sitting close to us, a few tables off to the side.

Growling, I can suddenly feel Deimos’s rage as Athena stiffens at the words. Gently, I move to squeeze her leg as I move to look at Lily with a glare. “Enough Lily, don’t you know it’s rude to talk about people, let alone your future Luna” I warn, my eyes never leaving hers.
“Ha! She’s no Luna.. At least not one of mine.. I’ll never bow to her… I mean just look at her, meek and scared with no voice to even defend herself” mocks Lily with a chuckle, clearly enjoying
Athena’s reaction to her words.
“Lily. ENOUGH. Last warning” I growl..
“Or what, my Alpha?” dares Lily, her eyes holding mine as I try to control my anger. “What will happen if I don’t“.
“Banishment” growls Ares, he too tired of Lily and her little games, not liking the way she was
treating our mate.
“Banishment? Because of a lowly she–wolf? That’s low even for you” replies Lily, her eyes narrowing at the twins. “You put her over your pack? That’s rich“.
“ENOUGH!” I roar, as I abruptly move to stand. “She is OUR mate, OUR Luna. Of course we would
choose her over any pack. What is a pack and it’s Alpha if without it’s Luna? She is the mother,”
the one who nurtures it along with its pack and its people“.
At the abrupt tone of my voice, everyone begins to stare at us. “Lily, this is most disappointing. Go to my office, NOW!” roars Alarick as he gives her a stern look, upset by the fact that Lily would do this, and on the night to welcome the new Luna,
Standing, Lily smirks before walking out of the dining room, away from the others as she moves to head for the Alpha’s Office, her smirk never leaving as she watches Athena’s face, her face pale and eyes round as if a deer in headlights as she fights back the tears before quickly pushing back her chair.
“I’m sorry… I shouldn’t be here” is all Athena says before rushing from the room, our mother’s gaze filled with worry as she watches her run off.
“ATHENA! WAIT” yells Ares, as he moves to run after her not caring about his lack of manners as he did.
“Well, I hope you’re happy Lily” I grumble, moving to push my chair back as well, moving to follow
my mate and brother only to pause long enough to look at my parents. “Mom, Dad, thank you for dinner, sorry it was ruined though“.
“Don’t worry son, we’ll have a small dinner tomorrow. Just us along with our close group of

people” replies Gwen to her son. “Now go, go check on your mate“.
Giving her a quick nod, I move to follow. My father moving to handle the Lily situation, knowing that if it had been Ares or I, Lily would be in even more trouble then she already was, for disrespecting a Luna or Alpha meant certain punishments that needed to be dealt.
