Noticing that his face was livid, Tim hurriedly asked.
He came back to his senses and ordered in a deep voice, “The lawyer must draw up a plan for the transfer of the villa today. Contact Sylvia to come and sign it.”
“Yes, I’ll go down and urge the lawyer right away.”
In Angle Group Building.
Ever since Lucy had been sent to prison, Sylvia had lost an assistant. Now that she had to focus on planning the talent show, she decided to choose a new assistant to take Lucy’s place.
At this moment, six or seven female employees of different heights were standing in two rows in her
small office.
Most of the female employees in the first row were good–looking. When they stood, they were not upright. Their postures were a little deliberate.
Sylvia only took a glance at them but she didn’t like their pretentious air.
She looked around at everyone, and her eyes were attracted by the girl standing the furthest away in the
second row.
“You, come to the front.”
The girl didn’t expect to be called. She was surprised and happy. She took two steps forward timidly and
said, “Hello, Ms. Lancelot. My name is Beth White.”
Sylvia found Beth’s information.
Beth was a newcomer, a girl from the countryside.
That was exactly what she wanted.
“You will be my assistant.”
Beth was overwhelmed by the sudden favor.
The other employees were a little unhappy. “Ms. Lancelot, she’s only been here for a month, and she’s still on probation. Isn’t that against the rules?”
Sylvia glanced over.

“I, am the rule.”
Everyone was stunned by her words. Since they were not selected, they could only leave resentfully.
The newcomer, Beth, was very excited. She kept bowing to express her gratitude. “Thank you, Ms. Lancelot, for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best. I promise…”
“All right, I understand, we’ll see how you perform” Sylvia gave Beth an affirmative look and handed over a pile of documents. “Get familiar with these things as soon as possible.”
“Okay, Ms. Lancelot.”
Beth carried the documents out.
As soon as she left, Sylvia turned her office chair, turned to look at the scenery outside the window, and rubbed her shoulders wearily.
Angle Group was not a very famous entertainment company in Frant City at all. All the establishments benefited from Patric’s name.
If she wanted to break through five profit points this year, she had to make a big move.
It was very risky, but Sylvia liked challenges.
While he was deep in thought, Beth knocked on the door again and walked in.
“Ms. Lancelot, I just got a call from Mr. Maxwell over at Alderwood Law Firm. He wants to know when you can come in and sign the property ownership transfer agreement.”
Sylvia asked suspiciously, Property?”
“It’s a small bay villa with a river view.”
She realized it was the house where she and Edgar used to live.
But it had been so long since they divorced. Why did Edgar suddenly want to transfer the house to her?
She thought, “Is it compensation or does he feel guilty now?
“What a joke!”
“Okay, I’ll be there after work.”
Sylvia did not refuse. Although she was not short of money, there was no reason for her not to accept the money that came to her.

And the house might be useful in the future.
In the cafe.
Nancy walked to the guest table with two roses.
When she looked at the delicate woman in front of her, she took off her sunglasses and put on a fake smile. “Hello, Miss Grammer.”
Sarah looked her up and down.
“Are you Nancy Mellis, the illegitimate daughter of the Mellis family? You look good, but your manners gave away the fact that you are not a real lady.”
She already started her provocation.
Nancy frowned slightly and was secretly unhappy, but she still held back her laughter and said, “Miss Grammer, do you ask me to come here just to insult me or are there any other reasons?”
She picked up her bag and was about leave, but Sarah stopped her. “Don’t worry. Let’s get down to business. You hate your fiance’s ex–wife, don’t you?”
Hearing that it was about Sylvia, Nancy paused and asked, “What do you want to say?”
“I don’t like that bitch either. I can help you get rid of her.”
Nancy hesitated.
The Grammer family was powerful. She was indeed a little tempted, but she didn’t like Sarah’s arrogance.
If she couldn’t get substantial help from Sarah, she would only be manipulated by Sarah.
After thinking it through, Nancy sighed and said, “I’m sorry, Miss Grammer. I’m just an illegitimate daughter of the Mellis family. I have no power or influence. I almost lost to her several times before. I’m afraid I can’t help you.”
She rolled her eyes at Sarah, got up, and was about to leave again.
“I don’t care about your identity, as long as you’re willing to work with me, I’ll help you become the only heir of the Mellis Group.”
Nancy’s eyes lit up, and a trace of success flashed through her eyes.
“Deal.”
It was time to get off work. Sylvia drove to the villa.

She looked numbly at the scenery outside the door, which had not changed at all. She was surprised to find that there was still a faint pain in her heart.
The security guard knew that she would come, so he didn’t stop her.
She went straight through the garden and pushed the door open.
There was no lawyer in the hall, only Edgar, who was wearing a custom–made black suit. His long legs were crossed, and he was sitting elegantly on the sofa, sipping black coffee.
Sylvia was not surprised to see him in the villa.
However…
She strode in on her high heels.
When she got closer, she could clearly see that his handsome face didn’t look very good, the dark circles
under his eyes were particularly obvious.
She couldn’t help bursting into laughter.
Although it didn’t affect his appearance much, it was the first time she had seen Edgar like this in so
many years.
“Mr. Fallen, it seems that you have been working very hard at night these days.”
Edgar looked up at Sylvia with an even darker face. “Miss Lancelot, you are even meaner now.”
“Of course.” She crossed her hands, and her eyes suddenly turned cold. “It depends on who you’re talking
to.”
Frowning, Edgar stood up, walked past the coffee table, and quickly approached her with his long legs.
Sylvia was prepared. She took the initiative to strike out with her hand, but Edgar dodged it.
Then, he stretched out his broad hand to grab her shoulder. Sylvia took a step back, and a cold light flashed in her eyes. She raised her white leg, which was four inches high, and kicked the man hard between his legs.
Edgar had a bad feeling about this. He took a step back and grabbed her slender ankle accurately.
When Tim, who was guarding the garden, heard the noise in the room, he quietly poked his head out and saw them fighting.
What was going on?

Why did they fight?
He was confused when he saw how fierce Sylvia was. She wanted to hit Edgar at his weakest point almost every time.
Edgar only defended and did not attack. The situation was dangerous.
He hissed softly. Was she serious?
What a ruthless woman!
Tim was worried for Edgar.
But he resisted the urge to go in and covered his ears.
