Chapter 180
Alice’s eyes flickered with suspicion at Mike’s words.
Seriously ill?
She remembered Noah had a stomach problem.
She hadn’t known Noah had any serious illness in her past life.
But Noah did look thinner.
Noah straightened and pushed Mike away.“I’m fine. It’s just the old stomach problem.”
“But…”
“Mike, you’ve said too much.”
Noah stopped Mike and looked at Alice.“I’m not here to plead. They made mistakes, and they should be punished.” Not pleading?

Noah took a document from Mike.“The AI project is promising. I know you’re a key figure at the Maple Company, but you should work independently.”
“What do you mean?”
“This is my company’s asset. I’m transferring all the shares to you. You can develop the AI project independently. All the profits will be yours when it goes public.”
Alice looked at the share transfer agreement.
She hadn’t expected Noah to give her the company.
After the surveillance incident, Noah had probably seen through Chloe. Did Noah regret his actions and want to compensate her?
Alice glanced at the document but didn’t take it.
She said coldly, “I don’t need it. Keep it yourself.”
“No, this is my choice. I was a bad brother. I didn’t notice you suffered so much. I was tricked by Chloe. I misunderstood and punished you. I even favored over an outsider.”
Noah pressed the document into Alice’s hand.“I’ve signed it.”
Alice threw it away.“I don’t want it!”
The papers scattered on the ground.
Noah’s face was gaunt.“Alice, I wasn’t a good brother, but I’ll learn.”
“Who you want to be a good brother to is none of my business!”
“How can I make it up to you? I want to be better to you!”
“Then stay away from me.”
Alice turned around and left.
Noah stood there, watching Alice disappear.
Noah’s hands trembled as he picked up the
papers.
In the end, Noah crouched, unable to stand up.

Mike watched and tilted his head, heartbroken. Why was Noah so silly before?
Mike had warned Noah about Chloe.
But Noah refused to listen to him.
Alice was independent. She didn’t rely on the Welch family anymore.
Reconciliation was difficult to make.

Alice returned to the dorm, feeling upset.
She used to like Noah best.
Ethan was often away. He was short–tempered and demanding. She had been afraid of him.
Alex was always in the lab or at the hospital.
The others had their careers. Luke was the youngest and often stayed at home.
But it was Noah who cared for and raised her.
In her past life, Noah eventually sided with Chloe.
Alice only had fragmented memories of her past life.
She put those thoughts aside.
She didn’t crave love from her brothers or their belated amends.
Lying in bed, Alice saw a notification about an expired transfer.
Jack hadn’t accepted the money.
Alice replied to him with a question mark.
Jack was in a meeting when he saw the notification. His phone flashed, and the familiar profile photo popped out.
He opened the chat box and saw the question mark sent by her.
Jack pursed his lips and replied, “How are the patches?”
Alice was surprised by the instant reply.
She instantly replied, “They’re good. Where did you buy them?”
“Take more when you run out. Get some rest.”
Alice thought Jack knew what she meant.
But Jack didn’t answer her question.
She sent an ellipsis, but Jack didn’t reply anymore.
She tossed her phone aside.
On the weekend, the finals were held at the stadium.
Alice and her team headed there.
The tickets were distributed to the members earlier. They would meet at the venue.
In the cab, Alice posted a picture of her ticket on Instagram.“Heading to the final.”
In her past life, she had competed in this game by herself.
It had been traumatic.

Luckily, Luke’s team didn’t enter the final this time. Chloe couldn’t steal her victory.
Chloe couldn’t take what she had now.
Alice felt happy.
Many fans were at the stadium, discussing the matches.

Alice and Lana greeted the team members outside. The two senior students were inside the stadium, counting heads.
As the match started, fewer people remained outside.
Alice was about to enter the stadium when she saw the Welch family arriving.
Chloe was with Ethan. Seeing them, Alice smirked and walked towards the stadium.
“Alice, stop!”
Alice didn’t turn around. The bodyguards blocked her.
She tilted her head, looking impatient.
Ethan approached with a grim face.“Forget the AI project. We accept defeat. But you’re suing Chloe and Luke. Why?
“Won’t you be ashamed to tell Mom and Dad about this when you visit their graves?”
“You don’t feel ashamed. Why should I?”
Her parents were her biggest vulnerability.
She always felt immense guilt.
“Alice, Chloe told me that you’re always jealous of her because we are biased. But Chloe was brought into our family because of you. We need to repay the debt for you.
“You’re repaying kindness with cruelty.
“You don’t deserve to visit our parents‘ graves.”
Ethan’s words were like a knife cutting her heart.
Ethan knew how to hurt her, to make her yield.
Chloe feigned sincerity.“Alice, we’ve had conflicts these years, but I always considered you as my family. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
Ethan was pleased by Chloe’s obedience.
He snorted at Alice.“Chloe’s apologizing. You should know what to do. Otherwise, you’d be disrespecting our parents and Chloe’s deceased father!”
Chloe’s eyelid twitched. Her father wasn’t dead.
She’d keep that secret forever from everyone, especially the Welch family.
It was her only leverage with the Welch family.
Alice looked at the sky, hiding her anger.
She said indifferently, “You’re right. Family shouldn’t fight.”
Chloe relaxed. That bitch wasn’t pressing charges?
Chloe felt an uneasy premonition.
Something felt wrong.
