Chapter 208
Jada was with mixed feelings as she looked at Jack.
After a long silence, she said, “You know it’s impossible. Because of the accident…”
Nobody could forget the death of her parents.
Jack half–knelt before Jada.
Jada said, “You’re guilty. You can make up for it. It’s the best choice for you.”
“I know,” Jack said softly.
He just couldn’t control himself.
He’d started with compassion, and then it turned into love.
Jada sighed.“She must be a good girl to make you feel this way.”
“Grandma, you don’t know how hard her life has been. Her brothers ignored and suppressed her.”
Jack paused.“I thought I was rational.”
“Rationality prevents you from entering a relationship, but not from developing feelings.”
Jada knew Jack. If he hadn’t been in love with Alice, he wouldn’t have confessed.
She grasped his intentions.
Jada asked,“Jack, are you telling me this because you want to be with her?” “Yes.”
Jack had made up his mind last night. He was in love with Alice.
He’d fight for her.
That was why he’d returned.
Jada playfully tapped him.“You’re trying to manipulate me again?”
“Grandma, I don’t need you to do anything. I just need your support.”
Jada said after a while, “The accident wasn’t your fault. But Alice was unfortunate… I don’t understand why the car exploded. It wasn’t a serious crash.”
If her parents hadn’t died…
Jack’s voice was hoarse.“I haven’t told her anything.”
He wasn’t sure if he had the right, hesitant and struggling.
“If you like her, pursue her. Show her your sincerity. But don’t hide your identity and what happened from her.”
Jack nodded.“I will. Will you accept her then?”
“I don’t approve of you being together.”
Jack said nothing.
Jada said, “You shouldn’t worry about my acceptance. You should worry if she will accept you after knowing everything.”
“I’ll figure it out.”
“Let go, Jack. It’s better for both of you. There are plenty of girls. Why her?”

Jada was worried they would both get hurt.
Jack remained silent, finishing pruning the roses.
There were many girls, but only one Alice.
He went to John’s room.
Startled, John hid something and relaxed when he saw Jack. “It’s you, Jack. Knock the door next time! My privacy
matters!”
“What are you hiding?”
Jack saw the adult magazines.
He sat down.“What time is the party tonight?”
John was excited.“Jack, are you going?”
Jack’s
gaze was serious. “You need to do something. Protect Alice at the party. Don’t let anyone bully her. Understand?”
“Got it! I’ll protect her!”
John thumped his chest, then whispered, “Jack, did she say she wanted me to quit the game?”
Jack patted John’s head.“She’s not that evil.”
“Then why did she ask that question?”
“Don’t ask what you shouldn’t ask.”
John crossed his arms.“Jack, quit!”

“Ouch! Jack, you’re murdering me! I’ll tell Grandma!”
Jack asked, “Who should be nice?”
“You! You’re begging me!”
John felt empowered.
Jack dragged him off the bed and out of the room.
“You must want to talk with me at the
gym.”
John shouted on the ground,“Help, Mom! I’m going to die. Jack is punching me.”
Amber ignored him and looked up at the ceiling.“I forgot to apply a facial mask.”
John was dragged to the gym. Screams echoed.
The servants got used to it.
Soon, John emerged with a black eye and a limp.
Jada and Amber were sitting on the sofa.
John cried, “Grandma, Jack beat me!”
Jada said to Jack, “Why did you hit him again? No more!”
Jack said calmly,“I was checking if his skills had lagged.”
“You just wanted to beat me up!”
John cried to Amber.“You saw it! Why didn’t you stop him?”

Amber, wearing a mask, was secretly pleased. Finally, John was taught a lesson. John shouted, “I can’t live in this house anymore!”
He’d expose Jack’s identity at the party, and then Jack wouldn’t win over Alice.
Outside the party venue, Alice and Lana got out of the car.
They dressed in beautiful gowns.
Lana was excited. “I’ve never been to a party like this before. So many famous gamers!”
“We can get autographs. We can give them to our team members later,” Alice said.
She left her signature, Harvard Team.
She was there to find sponsors.
People greeted Alice when they saw her.
She had a good performance. Daniel, from Blitzkrieg Team, wanted to poach her but hadn’t succeeded. Alice took the chance to get autographs.
Daniel approached.“You want autographs? Your autograph is much wanted now!”
“These are for my team members. They’ve improved a lot.”
Daniel sighed. “You should join my team!”
“Different paths.”

Alice had wanted to join the Harvard Team. She’d achieved it and was the captain now.
Daniel hesitated.“I heard about the news about the Welch family. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. The Welch family got what they deserved.”
“Alice, you’re getting out of hand.”
Alice turned to see a man and a woman walking over.
Chloe and Caleb appeared together.
She didn’t expect Caleb to come back so fast!
Caleb looked serious.“Alice, now that I’m back, I need to teach you a lesson.”
