Chapter 268
A cold voice cut through Chloe’s shock. She turned to see Alice standing in the doorway.
Alice walked in slowly.“So eager to see me die?”
“Alice, what are you doing here? You misheard. I didn’t mention your name,”
Chloe’s forehead beaded with sweat. She wondered, “Wasn’t Alice supposed to be asleep after drinking the milk?”
Alice smirked, knocking Chloe unconscious.
She wanted to see what Chloe had planned.
Alice carried Chloe to her bedroom, placing her on the bed and turning off the lights.
Hiding in the bathroom, she waited,
Time ticked by. The door creaked open, and a man slipped inside.
It was Davis, He was drunk, clutching a bottle.
He crept to the bed, saw the sleeping girl, undressed her, and forced himself on her, groping and kissing her.
Davis muttered, “Bitch, don’t you want to kick me out? I’ll give you a wonderful night.”
As Alice listened to Davis‘ curse, she smirked.
This was Chloe’s plan.
Alice thought, “She must have made some efforts for this dirty trick.
Unexpectedly, she was the one to suffer from her trick.”
Alice wondered how Chloe would react when she realized it.
Soon, the room echoed with moans and Davis‘ obscenities,
Then, the door burst open.
Noah stormed in, flipping on the lights and witnessing the scene. He roared, “Davis, what are you doing?”
The drunken Davis, seeing Noah, flinched, then emboldened by the alcohol, shouted, “Ms. Alice… said I would leave tomorrow. She told me to come here. She had something to tell me.”
“You bastard! How dare you assault her! I’ll kill you!”
Noah’s eyes burned with fury.
Davis, pinned to the ground, slurred, “She seduced me… She seduced me…”
Noah punched Davis repeatedly, his face bloodied.
Soon, Ethan and Caleb arrived.

When they smelt the peculiar scent, their faces fell.
Caleb grabbed Davis.“Who the hell gave you the courage to assault her?”
The bloodied Davis smirked before losing consciousness.
Caleb threw him to the ground, kicking him furiously.
Ethan, grim–faced, ordered Luke to close the door, preventing the servants from witnessing the
scene.
Noah, eyes red, said, “Ethan, I warned you about Davis! You brought him here, and this happened! Are you satisfied?”
Ethan, guilt–stricken, was speechless.
Caleb held Noah back.“Noah, calm down.”
“How can I calm down?! My sister was assaulted!”
Noah was furious.“Call the police! Now!”
“No! We can’t!”
Ethan refused.“If we call the police, it will spread through Washington. What about our family’s reputation?”
Noah punched Ethan.“What about Alice? She was harmed!”
Ethan said sternly, “I’ll compensate Alice. Davis will pay. But we can’t call the police! No publicity!”
“Let’s discuss it later. We’re all men. Let Chloe come.”
The bathroom door opened, and Alice emerged.
Everyone was stunned.
Noah rushed to her.“Alice, are you okay?”
She shook her head.“Why wouldn’t I be?”
Caleb was incredulous.“Then who’s on the bed?”
Ethan felt a bad premonition. He lifted the sheet, revealing Chloe’s face. He recoiled.“It’s Chloe.”
Noah was astonished. “What happened?”
Ethan stormed towards Alice.“Did you set this up?”
Alice smirked, walking to the bed and slapping Chloe repeatedly.
Ethan exclaimed, “What are you doing?”
“Wake her up. Ask her yourself.”
He wanted to stop her, but the sheet slipped, revealing more of Chloe. He turned away, “Alice, enough!”
“Not yet.”

Caleb and Noah also turned away, exchanging glances, sensing something.
Chloe woke up, screaming at Alice.“What are you doing?”
“I’m waking you up. Tell Ethan what was going on.”
Chloe realized she was naked, her body aching. When she saw the disheveled Davis, her mind reeled.
She stammered, “Why did you do this?”
She’d fallen for Alice’s trap.
Alice’s
gaze was icy.“You reaped what you sowed. Davis assaulted you.”
“Alice, I’ll kill you.”
Chloe, livid, lunged at Alice but was slapped away.
She was no match for Alice.
Chloe cried, “Ethan! Alice set me up!”
Alice smirked at her brothers.“Chloe’s naked. Ethan, you’d better stay calm.”
Ethan rubbed his temples.“Chloe, get dressed.”
Chloe, trembling, dressed herself, then clung to Ethan.“Ethan, call the police!” Ethan sensed the peculiar smell on Chloe’s body, showing a hint of disgust. -Alice smirked.“We can’t. It will damage the family’s reputation.”
Chloe wailed.“Is my suffering less important than the family’s reputation?” Ethan was speechless.
Alice’s words echoed his earlier statements, perfectly ironic.
He hadn’t expected it to be Chloe.
It was Alice’s room.
He asked Chloe, “How were you in Alice’s room?”
