Seraphina unlocked her phone and started browsing a real estate website for rental apartments. This area was prime real estate in Angoria, right on a pedestrian street. Unsurprisingly, the prices were sky–high. Even a one–bedroom apartment could cost several thousand dollars a month.
Sure, if her commissions were good, paying that much rent wouldn’t be a problem. But she wasn’t keen on handing over half her income to a landlord.
Seraphina continued searching nearby listings. While she was focused on the screen, someone sat on the seat across from her. She looked up, momentarily startled. It was the same man from yesterday, now dressed in the shirt and suit she had recommended to him. He exuded an air of elegance
“Oh. Ms. Johnson. What a coincidence,” the man smiled warmly, making it hard not to feel at ease.
“Uh, yeah. What a coincidence,” Seraphina smiled back. “When I came out yesterday, you were already gone.”

The man’s eyes shifted to her phone, which was lying flat on the table, displaying a rental page. “Ms. Johnson, are you looking for a place to rent?” he asked.
“Yeah.” Seraphina nodded. “My house is a bit far from here, and I spend over three hours commuting to and from work every day, so I’m thinking of renting an apartment nearby. But it’s all so expensive.”
She finished with a playful little tongue poke. Her lips were a soft pink, and that quick flash of her tongue made the man’s lips curl slightly, his eyes sparkling a bit as he watched her.
Seraphina absentmindedly continued scrolling through the web while eating breakfast. The man wasn’t much of a talker either, so the two ate their meal in quiet.
However, she didn’t eat the bagel he had placed on her plate. The man noticed, but he didn’t say anything
After they finished eating. Seraphina was about to bid the man farewell when he said, “I need to run some errands nearby, which is right next to your shop. Let’s walk together.” Since it was on the way, she didn’t refuse and left with him.
Meanwhile, in a black car, a man removed his sunglasses, his eyes filled with cold indifference fixated on her and the man walking away together. His hand gripped the steering wheel ever so slightly.

Chapter 126
Clarence’s lips curled into a cold smirk, his expression icy and distant. He silently grumbled to himself that Seraphina truly was a woman who couldn’t stand being alone for long.
When Lúcia called him last night, it wasn’t that he hadn’t been affected. He thought Seraphina would be devastated, yet she had already found someone else.
Clarence clenched his jaw, his demeanor colder than ever as he furiously thought, ‘I was dead wrong!
Seraphina parted ways with the man near Vantique. She didn’t pay attention to where he went, but after a moment, it suddenly hit her that she had met this man several times now, yet she still didn’t know his last name. When she turned around to look. he was already gone.
She shrugged it off, thinking. Oh well, just a stranger passing through. She didn’t dwell on it and headed into the shop.
Once Seraphina changed into her work uniform, she started her day. The mornings were usually slow, mainly handling delivery orders and assisting customers who needed items dropped off at their homes.
Later, Janice held a brief meeting. She said. “I just got a call from the general office. They wanted to ask if anyone here needs. the accommodations. The company is now offering a free apartment near the pedestrian street to make commuting easier. Anyone interested?”
Seraphina was a bit surprised, thinking to herself, I’ve been stressing about finding a place to rent, and now the company’s offering accommodation? Talk about divine timing

The other girls shook their heads as they lived close to the company and didn’t need to stay in the dorms. In the end, only Seraphina ended up taking the offer.
Janice submitted Seraphina’s application, and it didn’t take long for her to get a response. The company provided a one- bedroom apartment nearby, just a ten–minute walk away. Not only was it super convenient, but the place was also pretty upscale, filled with rich, good–looking professionals and business elites.
Several of the younger staff members regretted their decision, and one of them said, “Living in a place where every guy CEO material… Catching a rich husband would be a piece of cake! Ms. Burns, I want to stay in the dorm too.”

Seraphina, however, just smiled faintly and stayed quiet. She thought to herself, ‘After being with him, can any other guy really be considered a ‘catch?
That afternoon, the landlord delivered the keys, which Janice then handed to Seraphina. “You can move in today,” Janice said. “The place has already been cleaned, and it’s fully furnished just bring your bags, and you’re all set
Ill move in tomorrow, Seraphina replied, taking the keys. Tll pack my things at home tonight.”
