“You think I didn’t see that? I see you push Chelsea as soon as I get here. Don’t try to deny it,”
Nathaniel said.
Chelsea sat on the ground, crying loudly.
“Nathaniel, Aurelia called me a mistress. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have come back. The doctor said I’m in poor health and I can’t handle any more stress. Maybe I should go back to Melicia tomorrow to recuperate. It seems Aurelia doesn’t want me back.”
Aurelia was pressed against the wall by Nathaniel, and her medical report was scattered on the ground. She felt a chill spread through her body. It was as if Nathaniel had pierced a hole in the softest part of her heart, causing her pain. Just when Aurelia felt like she was about to die, she felt
a pain in her belly.
Aurelia cried silently in her heart, ‘My baby, you must be safe.”
“Nathaniel, please, let me go.” Her vision became blurry, and the voices around her sounded
muffled.
Aurelia faintly heard Chelsea still crying. “Nathaniel, don’t blame Aurelia. She just gave me a
gentle push, and I couldn’t stand steady on my own.” Nathaniel’s eyes were filled with a terrifying
look. If looks could kill, Aurelia would have died a thousand times.
“As Chelsea’s sister, how could you be so heartless and bully your sister? Don’t you know she has a serious heart condition? You said such hurtful words to provoke her and even pushed her. If anything happens to her, I won’t let you off,” Nathaniel warned her fiercely.
Then, he let go of Aurelia and turned to pick up Chelsea from the ground, rushing to the
emergency room.
Aurelia watched him anxiously, feeling a sharp pain in her belly. Aurelia squatted down slowly, holding her belly. She picked up the scattered medical reports. As she picked up the last one, a pair of shiny black shoes appeared beside her.
“Aurelia, what’s wrong?” Aurelia looked up and saw Marcus’s gentle face. His voice was also very gentle,
Marcus squatted to help, his gaze lingering on the medical report for a while.
Aurelia suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, like a spasm. She was doubled over with pain, her face devoid of color.

Chapter 10 She Fainted and Bled
“Aurelia, are you okay? Aurelia was in too much pain to speak.
“Aurelia, don’t be afraid. I’ll take you to see a doctor,” Marcus said. Aurelia felt like she was about to pass out. She only heard this sentence, along with the sound of rapid breathing. She felt weightless and a breeze in her ears. Marcus was running with her in his arms.
It was as if her memory had been taken away for two hours. Aurelia had no idea what happened later. When she woke up, she found herself lying in a hospital bed with an IV drip.
There was a tall figure standing by the window. He was strong, with broad shoulders. His white shirt was ironed without a single wrinkle.
He had a good figure. It was clear that he had inherited the genes of the Heilbronn family.
“Uncle Marcus?” Aurelia said tentatively. Hearing her voice, Marcus turned around,
“Aurelia, how do you feel? Do you want some water?”
Aurelia placed one hand on her abdomen. “Uncle Marcus, I…”
Marcus pulled a chair over and said, “Don’t worry, the baby is fine, and so are you.”
Hearing that, Aurelia breathed a sigh of relief. She never expected Nathaniel’s uncle to be the first to know the secret of her pregnancy.
She had only met Marcus a few times and was not familiar with him. Aurelia first saw Marcus at the airport. She was there to pick up Ulysses at that time. Aurelia still remembered the thrill Ulysses showed when he mentioned an elegant man he met at the airport. He said the man was handsome and wearing a pair of rimless glasses. He even said that he wanted to get that man.
That man was Marcus.
Aurelia and Ulysses happened to see Marcus getting into Nathaniel’s car when they left the airport. Later, Aurelia learned that Marcus was Nathaniel’s uncle.
She came back to her senses. Aurelia didn’t want Nathaniel to know about her pregnancy. She was afraid he would force her to have an abortion.
“Uncle Marcus, can you help me keep it a secret?”
Marcus smiled. “Pregnancy is a good thing. The Heilbronn family will be happy. Why keep it a
secret?”
“We are getting a divorce, and we have already signed the divorce agreement.

Marcus raised an eyebrow, stared at her, and then nodded slightly. “I can help you keep it a secret,” he said.
Aurelia was a bit nervous under his gaze. For some reason, she always felt something indescribable when Marcus looked at her. However, his words and actions were extremely polite, and there was nothing inappropriate.
“Thank you, Uncle Marcus. But why are you here at the hospital today?” She asked.
“I come to buy some medicine and happen to see you squatting there picking things up. The doctor say
says you need to stay in bed for a week. You have a cold and a threatened miscarriage. It would help if you do as the doctor recommended. Do you know?”
Aurelia nodded and said, “Uncle Marcus, thank you. If you have something to do, please go ahead. I can take care of myself.”
Marcus looked at her, his eyes full of worry.
“I’ll
stay with you for a while. I’ve arranged for two nurses outside your door. If you need anything, give me a call. You don’t have my contact information yet. Let me give it to you.”
Aurelia picked up her phone, unlocked it, and saved Marcus’s number. She also added each other
on WhatsApp.
After completing her IV infusion and having the needle removed by the nurse, Marcus left.
Aurelia stayed in the hospital for seven days and was discharged smoothly. During that time, Marcus would come every night. He would stay there until she finished eating.
When she was discharged, Ulysses came to pick her up. He took her straight home.
Ulysses opened a studio for high-end custom clothing. The studio was not well-known. He only received orders from influencers and lesser-known celebrities. Fortunately, this job was relatively free. Ulysses was usually lax and couldn’t handle too many constraints.
The decoration of his home was also simple. He said the guest room on the second floor would
always be available for Aurelia, but Aurelia had never stayed there. Nathaniel was domineering
and didn’t allow her to stay outside overnight.
When Aurelia had just stepped into Ulysses’s house, Nathaniel received the news. He was in the president’s office of the Heilbronn Group.
Zack said, “Mr. Heilbronn, I finally found Mrs. Heilbronn. She just went to Ulysses’s house.”

Nathaniel rubbed his forehead. The dark circles under his eyes were obvious, and he looked in a
bad mood.
“Where has she been this past week?” he asked.
Zack answered cautiously, “Mrs. Heilbronn seems to have disappeared out of thin air this week. I couldn’t find her anywhere. Our people search the entire Imperick. The hospital’s surveillance cameras were not working on the day you met Mrs. Heilbronn. I checked the surveillance videos of the street near the hospital but couldn’t find her.
“Nathaniel habitually tapped his fingers on the table. “You can’t even handle such a small matter. What’s the use of having you as my assistant? The surveillance cameras must be tampered with. Otherwise, why can’t you find her medical records at the hospital?”
Zack was too scared to respond. His subordinates were all very professional. However, they searched for Aurelia day and night for seven days but found no trace of her. Zack couldn’t figure out who was hiding Aurelia so well.
Nathaniel picked up his suit jacket from the hanger and left. Zack quickly followed him.
Zack drove the car downstairs to Ulysses’s house. Nathaniel turned to Zack and said, “You come
with me.”
Ulysses was cursing at Nathaniel in his house when the doorbell suddenly rang. “Your delivery is
here!”
