Store
Aurelia and Nathaniel stood on both sides of the bed separately.
Reed looked around and said, “I’ve decided to let Aurelia join the Heilbronn Group. She majored in design so that she could start in the design department. Nathaniel, you handle the arrangements.”
Nathaniel was silent for a few seconds before speaking, “Grandfather, Aurelia may not be able to handle the intensity of the design department’s work. It’s been many years since she last worked in that field, and she may have forgotten a lot of her professional knowledge.”
Reed snorted, “If she has forgotten, she can learn again. Aurelia is a smart girl, and with you to
protect her, she will surely make something of herself.”
“Grandpa, the Heilbronn Group is no ordinary company. You know my attitude towards employees. I will only tolerate employees with good performance if they enter the Heilbronn Group based on connections, and I can only tolerate employees with good performance. Everyone who works at

“You’re confused! Is Aurelia an ordinary person? She is your wife!”
Nathaniel was scolded into silence.

This time, Nathaniel said nothing more. Aurelia could see that he didn’t welcome her into the Heilbronn family. He was enduring it.
After about half a month in the hospital, Reed was finally discharged.
The whole family came to pick him up, but Aurelia happened to have a prenatal check–up that day, so she couldn’t accompany him.
In the ultrasound room, Aurelia lay on the bed and cooperated with the examination.
“I’m shocked!”
Amber exclaimed at the instrument, and Aurelia asked anxiously, “Amber, is there something
wrong with my baby?”
“It is amazing. When you came last time, you had only an embryo, but now, in just a short time, it
has become two.”
“Amber, can you be clearer? I don’t understand.”
Amber excitedly helped her up. “You are pregnant with twins. Isn’t that a surprise?”
Aurelia took a moment to react before she smiled. She gently stroked her belly, feeling happy when she thought of the scene of two children calling her mom.
“Amber, really? You mean I have two babies in my belly now?”
“Of course, I wouldn’t lie to you! But aren’t you going to tell Nathaniel? Your belly will be more
obvious in about a month.
Aurelia shook her head. She knew that she would be able to divorce Nathaniel in a little over a
month. By then, she would find a place where she was not known to give birth safely.
After leaving the hospital, she didn’t rush home. Aurelia was in a really good mood and decided to
take a walk on the street.
Perhaps because of her pregnancy, she found herself subconsciously wanting to go into the maternal and infant store when she saw one on the street.
“Miss, what do you need to buy? We have baby supplies, toys, cribs, and more in our store. If you

The salesperson greeted her warmly. This was a well–known imported brand store known for its zero additives and quality safety.
Aurelia wanted to provide the best for her baby. She was about to answer the salesperson when
she heard a familiar voice.
“Aurelia, what a coincidence! Are you shopping here?”
Aurelia turned around and saw Oscar, Nathaniel’s old friend.
“My friend is having a baby next month, so I’m here to pick out a gift for her.”
Aurelia lied.
Oscar sighed, “I even began to expect good news from you just now. But Aurelia, you seem to have gained a little weight recently, and you look…”
He couldn’t find the right words to describe the difference.
Aurelia’s heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively took a deep breath and sucked in her
stomach. “Look what?”
“You look a bit plumper, and you look better than before.”
Aurelia breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that Oscar had almost discovered her secret.
The salesperson, who had been listening to their conversation, spoke up, “Miss, if you’re looking for a gift, I recommend our gift boxes. We have high–end newborn clothes…”
Aurelia hesitated for a moment but decided not to buy anything, fearing it would arouse Oscar’s
suspicion. She greeted Oscar and left directly.
Finally, Aurelia bought two necklaces at a jewelry store, intending to give them to her two babies.
As soon as she left, Oscar called Nathaniel.
“What have you been up to lately? Let’s go have a drink!”
Reed was asleep. Nathaniel was thinking of going out for a drink.

Oscar looked at the time and was shocked. Every time he called Nathaniel out for a drink, Nathaniel was either busy with work or with a woman. But Nathaniel was in a hurry this time. He thought, ‘Could it be that his lover didn’t want him anymore?‘
Oscar was gossipy, so he left and drove to the Royal Club.
“Hey, who’s been abandoned and drinking alone?” Oscar walked into the private room, swinging
the car keys in his hand and teasing the man who was drinking alone.
Nathaniel smiled. “All the women in Imperick want to be my wife.”
He couldn’t be abandoned by a woman.
“But the real Mrs. Heilbronn doesn’t want you?”
Oscar guessed the reason. Nathaniel frowned and downed a glass of wine.
“It’s none of my concern whether she wants to be my wife or not!”
“If it has nothing to do with you, why are you drinking alone?”
The waiter came over to refill Nathaniel’s glass.
Nathaniel waved his hand, indicating that she should leave. With only him and Oscar in the private room, he slowly said, “I slept with Chelsea.”
“So what? It’s normal for men and women. Do you want to take responsibility for her?”
“I should take responsibility. She slept with me for the first time.”
Oscar was somewhat dissatisfied with Nathaniel’s thoughts.
“Nathaniel, it’s a fast–paced world now, and it’s normal for men and women to have a one–night
stand. Isn’t it too much if a man has to take responsibility every time he has a one–night stand with a woman? When you think about being responsible for Chelsea, why don’t you think about being responsible for your wife?”
“You slept with Aurelia many times in the past three years, didn’t you?”
Nathaniel looked at him, not saying a word. And Oscar continued to criticize Nathaniel, saying,

He didn’t ask, and Oscar’s desire to tell the story grew stronger.
“I met her at a maternal and infant store.”
Nathaniel’s head snapped up at the answer. “What is Aurelia doing at a maternal and infant store? Is she buying something?”
“I also know what she’s doing there. Aurelia is your wife. You should ask her! Maybe she’s already pregnant, but she doesn’t think you’re a good man, so she doesn’t want to tell you.”
