Chapter 72
Athena’s POV
‘Artemis?‘ I whisper, my body slowly coming too, from whatever it was that knocked me out. My mind trying to play catch up as it replayed the event leading up to now. Remembering how I was at my baby shower about to have a nice lunch with Luna Gwen as well as my other friends when I had heard a low howl and the feeling of being watched as I tried to search for the eyes that had been watching me.
‘Artemis?‘ I try again, attempting to project my voice louder in hopes that she would answer me only to realize that during the baby shower, we had been hit with cans of wolfsbane and another substance that I now realize was knockout gas as everything past that became a blur to me.
Wincing, I attempt to move my body only to halt when I’m unable to move my arms. “Huh?” I groan, attempting to move them again only to hear the sound of metal on metal only to then realize my hands were chained to something else and judging by the burning sensation on my wrists the chains where pure silver as they burned into my skin.
Biting my lip I attempt to wiggle my body only to feel something soft beneath me indicating that I was either on a mattress or on some soft rug as I try to move again, the sound of metal hitting metal once again giving me everything I needed to know as I was now chained to a bed and without Artemis I was defenless to protect myself and my babies.
Attempting not to cry I try to remind myself that I’ve had similar situations like this happen to me before and each time I’ve endured I’ve always came out on top except this time my mind was doubting the outcome as I try to push open my eyes only to see that I’m in a dimly lit room.
“Where am I?” I whisper, unfamiliar with the room or my surroundings which meant I wasn’t in my room back at Mystic Shadow nor was I in the basement of the Moon Walker Pack which meant I was some place else away from my mates which scared me because if I couldn’t somehow sense my mates or get in touch with them, then they would never be able to save me which meant I would never be able to see them again.
Feeling tears begin to stir I attempt to hold them back not wanting to show my weakness to my captive as I attempt to be strong, for I had to be strong in order to protect my babies. ‘Ares? Eros? Can you hear me?‘ I try, hoping to get some sort of reaction through the mate bond only to sigh when I don’t.
“So much for that idea” I grumble only to hear the sound of a door being opened and drawing my attention towards the person who had me chained to the bed only to pale when I see Ezra, the

oozing power and authority as his eyes hungerily watch me sending shivers down my spine as he
did.
“Your finally awake, I was almost afraid that I’d have to do this while you slept” purrs Ezra as he moves to move away from the door, shutting the door to the room behind me as he moves to saunter up over to me, my body attempting to shy away the closer he got as the chains continued to burn against my wrists drawing out a whimper of pain as it did.
Seeing him smirking at my pain and discomfort I try to find the courage to speak up, wanting to know why he kept coming for me, that maybe if spoke to him long enough I could try to and make contact with Artemis and she if could free us from wherever it was that he had us lock away at.
“Don’t even try it little one, I gave you enough wolfsbane to have your wolf sleep for a good week or so” chuckles Ezra having caught onto my thoughts causing me to finally panic, a week? Did I just hear him right?
“Why?” I finally whimper out, wanting to truly know why he wanted me.
“Oh come now little wolf, I’ve already told you why, I want you, and only you… Your the chosen one, the one true Queen and the one who’s going to help me rule over every single pack there is” smirks Ezra as he moves to crawl into bed with me his body now laying too close to comfort as he moves to wrap his arm around my waist.
“But I have a mate, two mates exactly… and once they find me, you’ll be sorry” I manage to say, trying to ignore the closeness he was giving.
Chuckling at my blight, does Ezra move to grip my chin a little too tightly, forcing me to gaze into his harsh, cold and collective eyes as he bore into my soul. “They’ll never be able to find you, thanks to that pack whore Lily and her connections to witches I have our pack carefully cloaked so even if those Alpha mutts did some how managed to get close enough to us, they’d still never be able to sense you” purrs Ezra as he moves to lick my cheek as if taunting me as the tears I had been holding back now silently fall as he moves to pull away from me, a smirk gracing his lips as his hand slowly shifts to claws as he moves to shred my clothes away slowly.
“No… Please, Don’t” I cry as I struggle to get free, squirming as he moves to shred the dress I had been wearing for the baby shower as it was a beautiful pale blue maxi dress that hung loosely along my body but still clung enough to showcase my baby bump.
Ignoring my pleas, does he move to continue shredding the dress until finally he manages to remove it from my body, the only thing left on me is my bra and panty as he moves to now hoover over me slowly his eyes moving to roam freely as takes in the view of my body, as I now laid there feeling ashamed knowing that my mates would never want me once this was all said and done.

Oh Moon Goddess…. Please help my mates find me, don’t leave me at the mercy of this monster, I plea up towards the Moon Goddess as I feel Ezra trail a claw along my chest as he moves to caress the outer shell of my breast as he moves to grab my bra before shredding that away as well, leaving only the panty for now.
“Mmm, so beautiful you are” purrs Ezra as he continues to gaze at me. “And I absolutely can’t wait until I mark you.”
At the mention of being marked I gasp for my mates had already permanently marked me months ago and as far as I knew once you where marked and mated another could not touch you unless they wanted to inflict pain on the one who had marked you.
Realizing that was what he was probably planning to do, do I attempt to glare as I spit up towards his face. “Fuck you” I hiss, wanting him to know I was pissed at him for even considering the notion of marking me.
Frowning he moves to slap me across the face, my head snapping to the side as he moves to grab my face with his hand harshly. “Oh I’ll fuck you alright and when I do, those mates of yours are going to feel every last bit of it” come his words as he moves to smash his lips ontop of mine, silencing any last words I might have had as he slowly begins his descent along my body his hand still wrapped tightly along my jaw as I’m forced into endure this pain. Tears once again flowing freely down my face.
