Chapter 191
A loud knocking on the door startled me, 1 immediately ran to it. Dante stood outside as pale as a ghost.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Marco…” he breathed out heavily, “He has lost his mind.”
A cold wave embalmed me, “What do you mean?”
“He will kill him, that Antonio guy. He will fucking die, boss.”
Frustration and anger enveloped my whole body in a second, “Is he crazy?! I told him not to touch Antonio.”
I ran to the elevator with Dante running behind me. We got in and I slammed the button repeatedly to get down.
“What was he thinking?! WHAT THE FUCK WAS HE THINKING?! I TOLD HIM NOT TO FUCKING TOUCH HIM!”
I clenched my jaw as I watched the numbers slowly go down. The doors slid open and I ran out, striding down the stairs to get to the basement. I slammed the door to Antonio’s cell open and my goodness, Antonio was drenched in blood. I glared at Marco as he faced me, dripping from Antonio’s blood. “He is really hard to break…” he laughed.
My heart pounded furiously as I panted, feeling like I was about to explode. My muscles tightened, my face flushed, and my blood seemed to be boiling. Anxiety flooded me as I remembered what I had just told Alessandro; he’d flip his lid if he saw Antonio like this. He will lose his mind, he will not rest until he kills Marco.
I ran to Antonio’s aid and cupped his bloodied face.
“Antonio…”
He opened his blood–filled eyes, shaking his head, “I didn’t rape her, Mr. Nikolai.”
I immediately started to untie Antonio, pulling at the ropes, Dante came beside me and helped me with it. The second the ropes snapped free, Antonio’s hard, bloodied, heavy body slumped over mine.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and rose to my feet, “I got you, Antonio, It’s going to be fine. I know you
didn’t rape her.”
He lightly groaned in pain it was almost inaudible, he was not giving Marco the satisfaction that he had hurt him bad.
“Dante, he needs medical attention!”
Dante nodded, walking Antonio to a room upstairs and asking one of the other men to get help. I took off Antonio’s shoes, and his jacket; he was losing so much blood, if it went on like this, he’d definitely lose consciousness.
Antonio raised his hand and with a finger, he wiped off a tear from my cheek, I didn’t even realize that I was crying. Yes I am a man but inwardly I was already fearing what Alessandro was going to do to me. ‘I heard what you said to him earlier” he coughed, “I have a sharp hearing… I will tell him,” he coughed some more, swallowing the blood that bubbled up from his throat, “I will tell Alessandro that it’s not you that did this to me, don’t worry…”
“Antonio…” I called him.
“But I will kill him…” he trailed off.
I knew who he was talking about, he was talking about Marco. Marco just dug up his own grave, God, I didn’t know what to do.
“You will be fine, Antonio.”

Chapter 191
He laughed, shaking his head, “I know I will be, the second Alessandro gets here…” saying that he laughed some more.
Two of the doctors and a couple of nurses entered and I stepped back. All the while the doctors and nurses tended to his wounds, Antonia kere looking at me with impassive eyes, the kind of stare that unnerved me.
I stayed in the room for an hour, watching everything closely. Dante stood in the other corner, he kept fidgeting. Doctors sedated Antonio and left after they were done, prescribing a shit load of painkillers to help with the pain and the swelling all over his body.
Marco had not only to beat him up with a wooden bat
Dante faced me after the doctors went out, “What now?”
he had also cut his skin deliberately from the places he’d bleed more.
“I told Alessandro that he was unharmed, I was trying to make him sign the divorce papers in exchange for Antonio. If he sees this… I pointed toward unconscious Antonio laying on the bed, “He will kill Marco, he is a vengeful man. You have no idea what he is capable of!
“What do you suggest we do?”
“We wait, we delay as much as we can. Alessandro can’t see him, let Antonio heal first.”
