Chapter 11
The sweet atmosphere didn’t last long.
After driving back home, Damian was standing in front of my villa with a dark expression.
When he saw Vincent and me together, his eyes nearly shot fire.
Vincent looked up and met his gaze, coldly locking eyes with Damian, his tone turning frigid.
“Well, if it isn’t my dear little brother. Instead of staying with the pregnant woman at home, what
rings you here?”
Damian’s anger flared as he glared at Vincent, gripping my hand tightly. His tone was filled with coldness.
“Who allowed you to hold Violet’s hand? While I’m still being reasonable, you’d better let go!”
Vincent suddenly chuckled, his laughter dripping with disdain.
“This is my wife. Where do you get the courage to tell me to let go?”
Damian shot him an annoyed glance but didn’t respond.
Instead, he turned to me, his eyes pleading.
“Violet, stop this. It’s my fault, I’m sorry. I’ll do anything to make it up to you, but don’t deliberately stay with him just to provoke me. I know I was wrong.”
Before I could speak, Vincent interrupted.
“I’ll say it again, Violet is now my wife. I suggest you recognize that and leave.”
“You shut the hell up! Wife? What wife?!”
Damian’s voice was full of confidence, as if he could see through everything.
“Stop acting, Violet. You’re only with him to make me angry. Do you really think standing by him means you’re his wife? That’s a dream!”
Looking at his confident expression, I couldn’t help but laugh.
I handed the marriage certificate to Vincent and told him to go inside first while I dealt with this.
But before I could do anything, Damian snatched the marriage certificate from my hand, his voice trembling.
“What is this?”
He frantically flipped the certificate to the registration photo page, his pupils filled with disbelief.
“You… you two got the certificate?”
“Violet, you’re not just trying to make me angry. You’re really with him?”
e rushed up to me, shaking me.
“Violet, this is fake, right? Tell me, this is all a lie to trick me, isn’t it?”
I pulled his hand off of me and spoke coldly.
“No, it’s real. We got married, just now.”
“So, do you still think I’m just trying to make you jealous?”
Hearing this, Damian’s face froze, and his complexion turned pale.
He desperately tried to tear up the marriage certificate.
I spoke coldly.
“Tear it up if you want, but it won’t change the fact that we’re married.”
Damian stood there in despair, like a lost child, but I no longer felt sorry for him.
Everyone should pay the price for their actions.
Damian was no exception.
While Damian was standing there stunned,
Vincent grabbed the marriage certificate from my hand, tucking it into his pocket like it was a treasure.
“You don’t deserve to touch this certificate. Don’t you dare dirty it.”
Then, he turned and walked into the villa, leaving behind a remark.
“Handle it well. If you can’t, call me.”
“I’ll go make dinner for you.”
Looking at Vincent, who was so intimate with me, Damian’s eyes were full of fury.
I sighed softly.
“Damian, you can’t have it all.”
Damian looked up at me, helplessness in his eyes, his eyelids red.
“When did you find out?”
“The day you slept with her.” I spoke flatly.
“Then why didn’t you confront me then? It’s been over a year, and now you want to leave me!”
Damian’s voice cracked, almost going mad.
“Because I was giving you a chance.”
“At first, I told myself it was just a momentary impulse, hoping you’d handle things properly.”
“But what happened? How did you handle Nora’s pregnancy? And why did Nora have the child?”
Damian collapsed, grabbing at his hair, “That wasn’t my intention. They forced me, Violet, the person I love is always you.”
Listening to his shameless words, I couldn’t help but confront him.
The bottled–up emotions from all this time exploded in that moment.
“Not your intention‘? Can’t you see the way you’ve been doting on and protecting Nora? I wasn’t blind.”
“You flaunted her in front of me, do you think I’m a fool?”
“My haute couture dress, the kiss in the garden that night at the party, that ice water scene you forced me to film, can you honestly say none of that was your intention?!”
Each word hit Damian like a hammer.
Just moments ago, he was furious, but now, he deflated.
He never thought the things he thought he had hidden so well had already been exposed to me.
Damian panicked visibly, his voice filled with pleading and regret.
“Violet, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. But I really don’t want to lose you. Tell me, what do we need to do for us to get back together? I’ll agree to anything, any condition, as long as you come back.”
I shook my head, my voice calm.
“Damian, don’t you understand? We can’t
go back.”
nd Nora’s in the same crew as me now. She’s gone crazy looking for you.”
“I’m begging you, stop bothering me. Don’t let Nora come after me either. I don’t want anything to do with either of you anymore.”
With that, I ignored Damian, who looked like he’d just had his soul ripped out, and turned to head into the villa.
“Don’t leave, Violet, don’t go,” Damian almost begged.
But he didn’t have the face to step forward.
Because this was all his doing, he was the sinner.
“Nora, it’s all because of Nora…”
Damian muttered to himself.
