Ashley, engrossed in data, paused.“Probably.” She was genuinely uninterested. She pulled Tim back to work, discouraging his gossip. The sooner they finished, the sooner they could leave. He scoffed.“His taste is… questionable.” He dropped the subject.
Ren Jifeng, seeing Tim looking their way, assumed he was admiring Tanya and that Ashley had pulled him away, angry at his attention towards Tanya.
Tanya encountered a problem, pausing her work. She looked towards Tim but saw him and the XunDu technicians intently listening to Ashley. It looked as if Ashley was some kind of technical genius. She looked away.
