Tanya smiled, remaining silent.
The next day, Ren Jifeng arrived at Xun Corporation early, where he found Tanya and Chase. Seeing Tanya, he paused.“Miss Lin is here, too?”
I’m still overseeing the project I was leading.”
Ren Jifeng nodded. He’d thought she’d be helping her family with the new Sterling Corp project.
Chase invited him to sit.
Ren Jifeng thought of the incident at the restaurant, pausing before sitting. Setting aside personal matters, he discussed business with Chase.
Tanya left after a while, but returned an hour later for coffee. Chase and Ren Jifeng were still talking when Chase received a call. He excused himself to answer it. Seeing him leave, and seeing Tanya, Ren Jifeng remembered Chase holding Ashley…
Tanya spoke, “Mr. Ren, something you wanted to say?” His hesitation was obvious. He shook his head.“I just think Mr. Sterling is very good to you.” He hadn’t figured out what happened at the restroom, and didn’t want to bring it up. Chase had revived a stalled project for her, connected her to influential people, and even launched a project for her family… His kindness was undeniable. He couldn’t do that for anyone.
