Ashley and Tim exchanged glances.“Yunzhi Jie?”
Nan Yunzhi smiled, hugging them both.“It’s me.” She pinched their cheeks, then addressed Ashley.“Xiao Rongci, long time no see.”
“Yes…” Ashley replied. They hadn’t seen each other since her wedding, over five years ago. Overwhelmed with emotion, she hugged Nan Yunzhi.
Nan Yunzhi was surprised but smiled warmly.“My dear Xiao Rongci, you’re getting sentimental!”
missed you,” Ashley admitted. Thinking of the past, she felt a surge of emotion. Nan Yunzhi knew some of what Ashley had been through; seeing her affection, she knew she’d suffered. She patted her back gently, offering silent support.
After pleasantries, Nan Yunzhi noticed Chase playing chess. She tapped her chin.“That’s Chase, isn’t it?”
Ashley nodded.
“He’s even more handsome than before.”

met him before?”

exchanged glances.“Yunzhi
“Yes,” Nan Yunzhi laughed.“Didn’t your teacher tell you?”
They both shook their heads.
“I met him over a decade ago.”
Tim was surprised.“That long ago?”
“Yes.” Nan Yunzhi, a world–renowned concertmaster, was dressed in disguise. Seeing onlookers, she put her sunglasses back on.“He almost became your senior brother, you know.”
