Half an hour later, Ashley and Tim left. When she got home, her phone rang. It was Chase. He wanted to confront her about bullying Tanya? Ethan’s warning came to her mind.
She answered calmly, “Hello.”
Chase coldly said, “Come back.”
Ashley felt no need to return.“Why?”
Sam has a fever and wants to see you.” He hung up.
Ashley grabbed her keys and went out. As she arrived, she went straight to Sam’s room. Sam had a high fever and was on an IV. He weakly called, “Mommy,” reaching for her. Ashley noticed the needle and hugged him. She asked the butler, “Did he eat?”
