Sam didn’t contact Ashley over the weekend. On Monday, Ashley went to Eternal. Near the end of the workday, Cindy called, inviting her to dinner.
After dinner, Ashley went to the restroom and saw Zark. She ignored him. She saw him waiting. at the same spot. He said, “Having dinner here? It seemed he was waiting for her. “Yes.” She said coldly, Mr. Green thinks I’m following you again?
He paused, “That’s not what I meant.”
She didn’t know or care what he meant and left; he didn’t stop her.
Cindy wanted to buy a birthday gift for her mother. Ashley accompanied her to a jewelry store Cindy liked a jade necklace. Someone at the entrance said, “Hello, I’m here to collect my jewelry.”
Ashley paused.
“Mrs. Sterling!” The owner greeted her, apologizing to Ashley and Cindy before approaching the customer. “Mrs. Sterling, your custom jewelry is ready.”
“Ashley?” Mark approached her.“Are you here to order jewelry too?”
Ashley glanced at him but didn’t speak
Seeing her coldness, Mark said sadly, “Ashley…”

Cindy hadn’t met Mark. She whispered to Ashley, “Who’s that?”
Ashley didn’t answer. Mark said, “Ashley, are you doing okay?”
