Tim said, “Wait, I’ll get someone to help, but it’ll take at least half an hour.” “It’s fine; I can arrive late.” She just needed to be there.
She was about to talk to the drivers when Zark said, “I’ll get someone to handle this. Where are you going? I’ll take you.”
Ashley was stunned and looked at him.
Five minutes later, Ashley was in Zark’s car. They sat apart, but she felt awkward.
“Thank you.”
“It’s nothing.““Nothing…” Ashley frowned. He usually ignored her. Their last encounter at the racetrack was unpleasant. He’d greeted her unusually, but….
Zark was busy, making calls. This made Ashley relieved. She felt uncomfortable. Forty minutes later, they reached the expo. Ashley got out, thanking him politely, “Thank you.”
