Chapter 6
I played a video for everyone to see. It was security footage from the hospital rooftop, the scene of the crime. The camera caught everything. Chloe and my mom standing on the edge of the roof, having a tense argument. Then, without hesitation, Chloe shoved my mom off the building.
The crowd fell silent. The footage was irrefutable. It was clear as day. Chloe had pushed my mom to her death. Gasps of shock and horror erupted from the onlookers.
The live stream comments exploded.
“What the hell? The doctor killed her??”
“She wasn’t suicidal! This was murdert“]
“I can’t believe it… this whole time we thought it was Jane, but it was the doctor!“]
In real-time, the shift in public opinion was drastic. People who had been calling for my head moments before were now furious at Chloe.
“Monster! How could you do that?” someone from the crowd shouted.
Chloe’s face went pale, and she stumbled back, her eyes wide with disbelief. “No… This can’t be real. That rooftop has no security cameras!” she blurted out, as if by saying it, she could somehow deny the evidence.]
Just as I expected. Chloe had already chosen the location ahead of time. She specifically picked a secluded rooftop with no surveillance, staging my mom’s suicide by jumping. As long as she stayed silent, no one would ever know the truth. But what she didn’t know was that I had lived this life before. I clearly remembered when and where this event took place, so I had my assistant secretly install a hidden camera on that very rooftop in advance, to capture the entire incident clearly.
Even I didn’t expect Chloe to go this far. To frame me, she didn’t hesitate to commit murder herself.]
