Chapter 205: Family Feud and a Calculated Game
(Aria’s POV)
I watched Dr. Samuel Lewis’s face contort with indignation, his wolf’s scent spiking with territorial aggression as he dismissed our concerns with a wave of his hand. My own wolf bristled with frustration at his blatant
double standards.
“Samuel, you’re being unreasonable,” my mother said, her voice tight with controlled anger. “Patricia has been nothing but hostile toward Aria since she returned to the family.”
“Hostile?” Dr. Samuel Lewis scoffed, his amber eyes flashing with dismissive fury. “Patricia is protecting family interests. She has every right to question expenditures and decisions that affect the entire pack.”
“Protecting family interests?” I couldn’t contain my disbelief any longer. “She demanded our expulsion from
the Lewis family tonight. At my son’s blessing ceremony!”
“You’re exaggerating,” Dr. Samuel Lewis replied coldly, his Alpha authority attempting to dominate the
conversation. “Patricia would never say such things.”
My mother stepped forward, her maternal wolf’s protective instincts flaring. “She threatened to have her husband remove Michael’s entire branch from the pack. We all heard it.”
“I don’t believe it,” Dr. Samuel Lewis stated flatly, his wolf’s stubbornness evident in his elevated scent.
“Patricia isn’t capable of such cruelty.”
The injustice of his blind loyalty made my wolf howl silently within me. No matter what evidence we presented, he would always defend Patricia Lewis while dismissing our legitimate concerns.
“Samuel,” my mother began again, her voice rising with frustrated anger, “you’re choosing to believe-”
My father placed a firm hand on her shoulder, his Alpha presence radiating calm authority. “Caroline, enough.
I’ll handle this.”
Dr. Michael Lewis stepped forward, his expression cold with disappointment. “Samuel, your unwavering support for Patricia has made one thing abundantly clear. This family is too fractured to function as a unit.”
“Michael, don’t be dramatic,” Dr. Samuel Lewis replied, but uncertainty flickered in his eyes.
“I’m not being dramatic,” my father said quietly, his voice carrying the weight of final decision. “I want to separate our family branch from the main Lewis pack hierarchy. Permanently.”
The words hung in the air like a death sentence. Dr. Samuel Lewis’s face went white, then flushed red with
rage.
“You’re threatening me?” he snarled, his wolf’s dominance erupting in full force. “Michael, I am the head of the Lewis family! I can enforce family law according to werewolf tradition!”
“Then enforce it,” my father replied with deadly calm. “But you’ll be doing it without my financial support.”
“Your financial support?” Dr. Samuel Lewis’s voice cracked with fury. “Your wealth and success exist because of the Lewis family’s backing! Without our pack connections, you’d be nothing!”

“Nothing?” My father’s laugh was bitter. “I’ve been supporting ungrateful pack members for too long. Perhaps. it’s time to see how well the Lewis family fares without my contributions.”
“Fine!” Dr. Samuel Lewis roared, his Alpha fury shaking the room. “If you want separation, you’ll have it!”
“Michael, Samuel, please,” Elder Lewis interjected, his weathered face creased with concern. “This is madness. We can’t divide the family over misunderstandings.”
“There’s no misunderstanding,” my father replied firmly. “The choice has been made.”
“And I agree with it,” Dr. Samuel Lewis spat, his wolf’s pride wounded beyond repair. “Go ahead and separate. See how far you get without family protection.”
Elder Lewis looked between his brothers with desperate eyes. “The Lewis family has stood united for generations. This division will weaken us all.”
“Some things are more important than tradition,” my father said quietly. “Like protecting my daughter from
family members who wish her harm.”
Dr. Samuel Lewis opened his mouth to argue further, but before he could speak, the door opened casually. Dr. Thomas Lewis strolled in, his hands in his pockets, looking completely unbothered by the tension filling the
room.
“Well, well,” he said with amusement, his wolf’s scent carrying lazy entertainment. “What’s all this shouting
about? I could hear you from the garden.”
“Thomas, this is serious,” Elder Lewis said urgently. “Michael wants to divide the family.”
Dr. Thomas Lewis shrugged, moving to lean against the wall with characteristic indifference. “So? Let him. Family drama gives me a headache anyway.”
“Thomas!” Elder Lewis exclaimed, shocked by his brother’s casual attitude. “This affects all of us!”
“Does it?” Dr. Thomas Lewis picked at his fingernails, completely uninterested in the family conflict. “I have my own territory and business. Michael’s decision doesn’t concern me.”
The complete lack of family loyalty in his voice made my wolf recoil. How could he be so indifferent to the pack’s dissolution?
Before anyone could respond, Dominic appeared in the doorway, his powerful Alpha presence immediately commanding attention. His silver–gray eyes found mine with warm affection.
“Aria,” he said smoothly, approaching with his characteristic confident stride. “Patricia Lewis is looking for
you. She says it’s urgent.”

I felt my heart skip a beat. This was the signal we’d been waiting for. Our carefully orchestrated plan was beginning
“Patricia?” I asked, injecting surprise into my voice. “What does she want?”
“She didn’t say,” Dominic replied, his expression perfectly neutral ‘But she seemed agitated.”
I turned to my parents, letting shock color my features. “Mom, Dad, I think I think Patricia might know who kidn*pped me all those years ago.”
The room fell silent. Even Dr. Thomas Lewis stopped examining his fingernails.
“What?” my mother whispered, her face paling.

“She’s been acting so strangely lately,” I continued, my voice trembling with manufactured emotion. “And tonight, with all her threats… What if she’s been hiding something all these years?”
“Patricia wouldn’t…” Dr. Samuel Lewis began, but his voice lacked conviction.
“She said she needed money,” I pressed on, watching his face carefully. “She wanted to flee the country. She’s afraid of retribution from whoever orchestrated my childhood abduction.”
My father’s expression hardened with protective fury. “How much money?”
“Dad, you can’t seriously-“I started to mention the amount, but Dominic’s hand on my shoulder stopped me.
“We should find Patricia immediately,” he said, his strategic Alpha mind clearly calculating the next move.
“Before she disappears.”
“You’re right,” my father agreed, his paternal instincts overriding his anger. “If Patricia has information about
Aria’s k********g, we need to hear it.”
“This is ridiculous,” Dr. Samuel Lewis protested, but his wolf’s scent betrayed his growing uncertainty.
“Then come with us,” my father challenged. “If Patricia is innocent, she’ll have no problem explaining herself.”
Without waiting for a response, Dominic guided me toward the door. My parents followed, their expressions
grim with determination.
We left the three uncles standing in the room, their shocked faces reflecting the magnitude of what had just
unfolded. The first phase of our plan was complete.
(Aria’s POV)
Dominic led us upstairs to a private study, where a large screen dominated one wall. The surveillance equipment hummed quietly as it displayed a live feed of the room we’d just left.
“You had them under surveillance?” my mother asked, her eyes wide with surprise.
“Always,” Dominic replied, his Alpha authority evident in his tactical preparation. “Know your enemies and
watch their reactions.”
On the screen, we could see the three Lewis brothers in heated discussion. Elder Lewis was gesturing frantically, his weathered face creased with concern as he tried to mediate between his siblings.
“Samuel, you can’t let pride destroy our family,” Elder Lewis was saying, his wolf’s scent heavy with desperation for pack unity. “Michael is our brother. We need to find a way to reconcile.”
“Reconcile?” Dr. Samuel Lewis’s voice cracked with fury. “He threatened to abandon the family! He chose that… that stranger over his own blood!”
“Aria is not a stranger Elder Lewis replied firmly ‘She’s Michael’s daughter. She’s family.”
“Is she?” Dr. Samuel Lewis paced like a caged animal, his Alpha fury making him restless. “How do we know she’s really who she claims to be? Patricia raised valid concerns about her identity.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Thomas Lewis had settled onto the sofa, completely unbothered by the family drama unfolding around him. He picked at his ears with lazy indifference, as if watching a mildly interesting television show
“Thomas, say something,” Elder Lewis pleaded. “Help me talk sense into Samuel.”

“Why?” Dr. Thomas Lewis replied with a yawn. “This drama is exhausting. If Michael wants to leave, let him leave. If Samuel wants to be stubborn, let him be stubborn. I have better things to do than referee family
fights.”
“You’re impossible,” Elder Lewis muttered, his wolf’s frustration evident in his elevated scent.
Dr. Samuel Lewis continued his furious pacing, his voice rising with each word. “Michael will regret this
decision! He thinks he can survive without family support, but he’s wrong! The Lewis name opens doors.
Without it, he’s nothing!”
“Samuel, please,” Elder Lewis tried again, but his brother was beyond reason.
“No!” Dr. Samuel Lewis roared, his Alpha dominance filling the room. “Let him go! Let him take his precious
daughter and see how far they get without the Lewis family’s protection!”
I turned away from the screen, my wolf stirring with anticipation. The surveillance was providing exactly the intelligence we needed.
“What do you think?” I asked my mother and Dominic quietly. “Who do you believe is the real culprit behind
my childhood k********g?”
My mother’s expression was certain, her maternal instincts convinced by what she’d witnessed. “Samuel.
Look at how defensive he’s being. He’s not just protecting Patricia–he’s protecting himself.”
