Chapter 206: The Confrontation
Chapter 206: The Confrontation
(Aria’s POV)
The silence in the Lewis family estate was deafening as we waited, each second stretching like an eternity. My hand rested protectively on baby Nolan’s bassinet while my other hand gripped Dominic’s arm, drawing
strength from his powerful Alpha presence.
“How long do we wait?” I whispered, my pregnant wolf stirring uneasily within me as the tension mounted.
“As long as it takes,” Dominic replied, his silver–gray eyes fixed on the surveillance screen showing the room
where my uncles sat with their phones. “Whoever orchestrated your k********g will contact Patricia once they
realize she’s exposed their involvement.”
My father paced the small monitoring room, his wolf’s scent heavy with anxiety and determination. Twenty years of searching for answers had led to this moment.
“They have to call,” Mrs. Caroline Lewis said, her maternal instincts on high alert. “Patricia’s self–serving
nature means she’ll prioritize her own survival above family loyalty.”
We watched the screen intently. Dr. Samuel Lewis sat rigidly in his chair, his phone silent on the table beside
his coffee cup. Dr. Marcus Lewis appeared to be reading medical journals, but his frequent glances at his
device betrayed his nervousness.
Minutes passed. Then an hour.
“Nothing,” I said, my voice tight with frustration. “None of them are calling Patricia.”
“Maybe they’re smarter than we thought,” Dominic mused, his tactical Alpha mind processing the situation.
“Or maybe we’re looking at the wrong suspects.”
“What do you mean?” Dr. Michael Lewis asked, stopping his pacing to look at Dominic directly.
“We’ve been focused on your brothers,” Dominic explained, his voice carrying that characteristic strategic edge. “But we might be overlooking the wives. They had just as much motive to prevent you from becoming
the Lewis family’s head healer”
The revelation hit me like a physical blow. “The wives? But they seemed so… peripheral to family politics.”
“Power struggles in werewolf packs often involve the females more than appears on the surface, Dominic
said grimly. “They have everything to lose if their mates‘ positions are threatened.”
My wolf whimpered with the realization that we might have been looking in the wrong direction entirely. “But none of them have called Patricia either
“That’s because they’re too smart to use phones, Dominic continued, his Alpha instincts reading the situation with military precision. They know electronic communications can be traced.”
“So what do we do now? Mrs. Caroline Lewis asked, her voice reflecting the exhaustion we all felt.
Dominic’s expression hardened with determination. “We take a more direct approach. We eliminate suspects one by one, manually.”

The word ‘manually‘ carried ominous implications that made my wolf bristle with unease.
“What exactly are you proposing?” I asked, though something in his tone already told me the answer wouldn’t
be pleasant.
“We force emotional responses,” Dominic said simply. “Guilty parties react differently under pressure than
innocent ones.”
(Dr. Michael Lewis’s POV)
I looked at Dominic with newfound respect for his tactical approach. “What do you need me to do?”
“Begin with Dr. Marcus Lewis,” Dominic instructed, his Alpha authority evident in every word. “His family
benefited most from Aria’s disappearance, making them the most likely suspects in the pack hierarchy struggle.”
My wolf’s protective instincts flared at the thought of finally confronting the truth about my daughter’s
*********g. “Tell me exactly what you want me to do.”
*Create a situation where he has to react emotionally,” Dominic explained, his silver–gray eyes calculating. “Catch him off guard when his defenses are down.”
“And if he’s innocent?”
Then we’ll know, and we’ll move to the next suspect,” Dominic replied coldly. “But if he’s guilty, his wolf won’t
be able to hide it under direct confrontation.”
Within the hour, I was driving through the Northern Territory’s afternoon traffic, my enhanced werewolf
senses tracking the familiar scent of my brother’s luxury sedan. Marcus always took the same route home
from the medical center, a habit that would work to our advantage.
My hands tightened on the steering wheel as I approached the predetermined intersection. Everything depended on timing and my ability to read Marcus’s true reactions.
I spotted his silver sedan approaching from the left, moving at his usual cautious pace, Drawing on decades
of suppressed anger and frustration, I accelerated deliberately and struck the rear corner of his vehicle with a
calculated collision.
The impact sent both cars spinning slightly, metal grinding against metal in a shower of sparks. My wolf’s enhanced reflexes kept me in control as I brought my vehicle to a stop.
Within seconds, I was out of my car, my Alpha presence radiating controlled fury. The staged accident had to look authentic, and my twenty years of pain would provide all the emotion necessary.
“Marcus!” I shouted, my voice carrying across the busy street.
(Dr. Michael Lewis’s POV)
Rebecca Lewis emerged from the passenger side of the damaged sedan, her wolf’s aggressive pheromones immediately filling the air. Her perfectly styled hair was disheveled, and her expensive clothes were wrinkled from the impact.
“Michael!” she snarled, her voice sharp with outrage. “What the hell is wrong with you? You could have killed
us!”
“Where I come from, we call that justice,” I replied, my voice deadly calm despite the rage building in my

“Justice?” Rebecca’s voice rose to a near shriek. “Are you completely insane? You deliberately crashed into
us!”
Dr. Marcus Lewis climbed out of the driver’s seat with a deep frown, his professional demeanor cracking under the stress of the situation. His wolf’s scent betrayed confusion and growing alarm.
“Michael, what’s gotten into you?” he began, his voice carrying the tone he used with difficult patients. “This is completely-”
I didn’t let him finish. Drawing on enhanced werewolf strength, I struck him across the jaw with a blow that sent him staggering backward.
“You bastard!” I roared, my voice carrying the pain of twenty years of searching for my lost daughter. “I know what you did!”
Screams erupted from nearby pack members who witnessed the altercation. Several werewolves stopped their cars to watch the confrontation, their enhanced senses picking up the violent pheromones radiating from both of us.
“I’m calling the territorial authorities!” Rebecca shouted, fumbling for her phone with trembling hands.
“Call them,” I snarled, my Alpha authority dominating the space around us. “Let them hear the truth about what you and your family did to my daughter!”
Marcus held his bleeding jaw, his professional composure completely shattered. “Michael, have you lost your
mind? What are you talking about?”
“Aria!” I shouted, my voice breaking with emotion. “My daughter who was kidn*pped twenty years ago! The daughter you helped steal from me!”
“kidn*pped?” Marcus’s eyes widened with what appeared to be genuine shock. “Michael, I would never-”
“Don’t lie to me!” I interrupted, my wolf’s fury reaching dangerous levels. “Patricia confessed everything! She
told us about your involvement in the conspiracy!”
The accusation hit Marcus like a physical blow. His face went pale, and his wolf’s scent shifted from confusion to something approaching terror.
“Patricia said what?” he whispered, his voice barely audible above the growing crowd of onlookers.
“She told us how you orchestrated the whole thing,” I continued, my voice carrying the weight of decades of
anguish. “How you paid off her gambling debts to ensure my daughter disappeared forever!”
“That’s impossible, Marcus said, his voice growing stronger with what seemed like genuine outrage. “Michael, 1 swear on my wolf’s honor, I had nothing to do with Aria’s k********g!”
“Then why did Patricia name you specifically?” I pressed, watching his reactions carefully. “Why did she say you were the one who wanted me out of the healing succession?”
Marcus’s expression shifted from shock to fury “She said that? She actually had the nerve to implicate me?”
“She confessed to everything. I replied, my voice cold with accusation. “The conspiracy, the payment, your role in coordinating the abduction.”
“I’ll kill her,” Marcus snarled, his own wolf’s protective instincts emerging Ill tear her apart for lying about my

family!”
“So you deny involvement?” I asked, studying his face intently.

“I absolutely deny it!” Marcus shouted, his voice carrying the ring of truth that even my angry wolf recognized.
