Chapter 16 I Told You to Call Me “Honey” From Now On.
Zack held the baseball bat and tapped the man’s face, intimidating him. ‘Cut the crap and tell me everything now!”
The man trembled and said, “She’s a stylish lady. We only saw her profile. She was slim with waist- length curly hair and wore pearl earrings. She gave Rob sixty thousand dollars. She asked us to wait for a beautiful woman there and rape the woman, and she promised us twenty thousand
dollars more afterward. That’s all I know. Please don’t hit me
The other thug nodded frantically in agreement.
Nathaniel was relieved that Aurelia was safe, but the thought of her being almost raped by these scumbags was unbearable.
The trail ended here. If provided with a bank account, he could continue the investigation, but
the mastermind behind it was meticulous and opted for direct cash transactions.
After some thought, Nathaniel remembered a woman with long, curly hair, but a few seconds later, he dismissed the dreadful suspicion.
He thought, ‘How could it be her? They are sisters. She is always kind and compassionate, especially towards the stray animals in the neighborhood. She wouldn’t do something so cruel.‘
Just then, Nathaniel’s phone rang, and he answered it without paying attention to the men
present.
“Nathaniel, my heart feels uneasy. Can you come and be with me tonight? I’m scared. What if I die in your apartment?” A soft female voice echoed in the abandoned warehouse, and Nathaniel
glanced at his watch.
He replied, “Okay, wait for me.”
Zack felt it was unfair to Aurelia. He knew why Aurelia wanted a divorce, but he didn’t dare to say
it out loud.
Several bodyguards asked in a hurry, “Mr. Heilbronn, what should we do with these three people?”
Nathaniel walked towards the gate and said before leaving, “Throw them into the sea.”
The people in the warehouse shouted, “Mr. Heilbronn, we are wrong!” Nathaniel quickly walked out, ignoring the wails behind him.

He gave Zack an order’in the car. “Go to the Jade Community.”
He promised Chelsea to go there, but his expression remained calm.
Zack casually steered the wheel and drove towards the main road. Since Chelsea moved into the Jade Community, Zack had often acted as a driver to take Nathaniel there, and he was already familiar with the route.
A few days ago, when Chelsea called to say she wasn’t feeling well, Nathaniel was anxious and urged Zack to drive faster. Zack stole a glance at Nathaniel in the rearview mirror. He was quietly looking at his phone, so Zack didn’t accelerate.
Every time Chelsea called Nathaniel, it was because she felt unwell or that she was about to die. Zack felt impatient. If one told too many lies, no one would believe him. Nathaniel wasn’t a fool, but he was still willing to go. He indulged Chelsea.
Zack felt sorry for Aurelia once again.
on the car:
at the Jade Community’s underground parking lot, Nathaniel went upstairs alone. He didn’t knock on the door but used his fingerprint to unlock it, only to find that it unexpectedly failed.
He tried the password 0613 again, which was his and Aurelia’s wedding date. Aurelia insisted on changing all the passwords in the house to this, and he didn’t care about these locks, so he let her deal with it.
But the password was also declined.
Just as he was about to try again, the door opened from the inside.
Chelsea had dressed up carefully, wearing a tight red dress and looking like a red rose.
“Nathaniel, you’re here. I just felt my heart beating so fast, but after resting for a while, I felt. much better. Feel my heartbeat. Is it normal now?” Chelsea took Nathaniel’s hand and pressed it against her chest, looking at him with anticipation.
Nathaniel withdrew his hand in a hurry when he had barely touched Chelsea’s chest.
Chelsea came closer again and hugged his waist.
“Nathaniel, don’t leave today. I miss you so much. I cooked your favorite soup. I cooked it for two hours. You should try it.” Chelsea leaned forward to kiss Nathaniel, her curly hair falling behind
her.

Nathaniel gently played with her delicate earlobe, and Chelsea couldn’t help but moan.
It was the first time in many years that she had been so close to Nathaniel. Her earlobe felt his body temperature, and she closed her eyes, feeling her legs go weak as she leaned against him.
“Nathaniel…
Nathaniel suddenly stopped and held out his palm in front of Chelsea. “When did you buy these earrings?*
Chelsea looked at him with a dazed expression. They had just been flirting, and she didn’t understand how the topic suddenly turned to the earrings.
She said, “You’re so annoying. Why do you take off my earrings?”
Nathaniel asked again, “When did you buy these earrings?”
His expression became more serious. Chelsea wanted to flirt with him again, but his appearance took her aback.
“Why are you so fierce? Ashley gave me this a few days ago, and I haven’t worn it many times.
Give it to me.”
She took the earring from Nathaniel’s hand and put it back on her ear.
“Nathaniel’s expression softened when he heard that she had received them a few days ago.

The time of the two incidents conflicted. Nathaniel was sure that Chelsea was n
mastermind behind Aurelia’s accident.
He relaxed and sat down at the table in the dining room, and Chelsea brought the soup.
Nathaniel liked tomatoes, so she searched for recipes related to them and learned how to cook
them.
“Why do you change the password for the security door? Chelsea was taken aback and started to feel wronged.
“Nathaniel, I know the original password was your wedding date with Aurelia. Now, I live in this apartment alone, and every time I enter the wrong password, my heart aches. How can you treat me like this?” She sounded hurt, her eyes filled with tears.
“If it weren’t for my poor health and the need to go abroad for treatment, we would have been married long ago, and maybe we would have had children. It’s all because of my poor health that

you were forced to marry, but it doesn’t matter. I’m back now, and we still have a long future ahead of us. Nathaniel, do you want a baby?”
Nathaniel was reminded of their past by her words, “Chelsea, it’s not your fault. Your heart attack relapsed when you tried to save me back then. It got serious because of me. I owe you.”
Chelsea brought a few bottles of wine and poured two glasses.
“Nathaniel, how long has it been since we last had meal together like this? Every time you come, you’re in a hurry to leave. Can you have a drink with me today?” Nathaniel couldn’t refuse.
Chelsea took the opportunity to reminisce with him, recounting their childhood encounters. When she mentioned the time she jumped into the lake to save him, she couldn’t help but shed tears. “Nathaniel, if I could do it all over again, I would still jump into the water to save you, even if it meant giving up my life.”
Nathaniel hated owing others, and seeing Chelsea cry in front of him, he couldn’t help but drink a
few more glasses.
When he stood up to leave, he felt dizzy.
“Nathaniel, you’ve had too much to drink. Put your work aside for now, and I’ll prepare some honey water for you.”
Nathaniel looked at the familiar face. His vision blurred, and he held the woman’s shoulders in front of him with both hands. “I’ve told you before that you should call me ‘honey‘ in the future. How could you forget it?”
Chelsea knew that he still loved her after all.
“Honey.”
She called out coquettishly, wrapping her arm around his neck. She tiptoed to kiss him, “Honey, shall we go to bed?”
