Can’t win me back
Chapter 17 You’re Not Urging Me to Get a Divorce Anymore?
Nathaniel gazed at the woman in his arms with desire, his large hand caressing Chelsea’s cheek. “You’re not urging me to divorce anymore?”
Chelsea was momentarily stunned, realizing he mistook her for Aurelia.
That wench! She had thought Nathaniel was finally going to accept her wholeheartedly as a grown man does to a woman he loves. She thought he would want to possess her.
She felt immense joy in her heart, ready to embrace the moment, but reality didn’t align with her expectations. She felt a pang of sadness. She then composed herself.
Nathaniel held her face, kissing her, but soon realized the woman in his arms showed no response, only looking at him with a sense of grievance. He instantly lost interest. “Three years, and you’re still as unresponsive as before,” he said disdainfully.
Chelsea supported him back to the main bedroom. The room was quiet, illuminated only by a dim floor lamp.
Nathaniel had already fallen into a deep sleep. Chelsea tightly grasped the bedsheet, feeling that he and Aurelia must have slept together on this bed.
Nathaniel’s phone rang, and it was Aurelia.
Chelsea didn’t want things to go smoothly for Aurelia.
She walked barefoot to the living room to answer the call.
Aurelia’s call was actually about nothing important. Reed found her bored staying at the Heilbronn Villa and accompanying him every day. Thinking that Nathaniel was back from his business trip, he asked her to call Nathaniel back, intending to help them improve their relationship. In this way, they might have a child sooner.
Reed sat there, monitoring her, as Aurelia reluctantly made the call.
As soon as the call connected, moans of a woman came from the other end.
“Nathaniel, be gentle… Nathaniel, you’re so naughty… Ah…”
Aurelia panicked, and the phone slipped from her hand, landing on the floor. Her face insta paled.

Reed asked with concern, “What did he say?”
Aurelia’s lips trembled. She couldn’t tell Reed what she heard, her mind blank.
Reed picked up the phone and put it on speaker. The voice echoed through his entire study.
Reed was so angry that he hit the ground with his walking stick several times.
“How could I have such a grandson? It’s our family’s fault, and I failed my wife’s trust.”
Reed, who had a kind heart, couldn’t help but regret forcing Nathaniel to marry Aurelia three
years ago and wonder if he had done wrong. He wanted to take care of Aurelia and give her a
home, but now it had backfired. Aurelia came back to her senses and comforted Reed.
“Grandpa, I’m fine. Don’t be angry. Mind your blood pressure.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Reed fainted.
The Heilbronn family was in chaos that night, with everyone rushing Reed to the hospital.
Outside the cold iron gate, the family waited anxiously.
Finally, the doctor came out, and the whole family waited for the doctor to speak. “Mr. Reed has been rescued, but he’s still in a critical condition and needs to be observed for twenty-four hours. The family members, please come with me to the office.”
‘Matthew and Marcus went over while the others waited outside the emergency room.
Ashley glared at Aurelia. “What did you say to Grandpa? You must have provoked him and triggered his acute myocardial infarction. I think you just don’t want my family to be happy.”
Aurelia was still immersed in worry and sadness. “Ashley, Grandpa is still in the emergency room.
I don’t want to argue with you.”
Ashley showed no intention of backing down and continued to provoke. “Aurelia, you’re the one who made Grandpa angry. How much more harm do you want to bring to our family?”
Aurelia glanced at Beatrice, who stood there in silence as if she hadn’t heard Ashley’s rude words.
Beatrice’s attitude only fueled Ashley’s rudeness.
Although Beatrice was usually friendly with Aurelia, Aurelia now had a bad impression of
Beatrice.
Ashley was rude, and that didn’t suit to her identity at all.

Aurelia’s eyes swept over the people present. She sheered.
Ashley felt dissatisfied. She was scolding Aurelia, and Aurelia remained unfazed. “What are you laughing at?”
Aurelia couldn’t be bothered and pointed to the sign on the wall that read “Quiet, this is a hospital. Don’t make a fool of yourself.”
“You…” Ashley was provoked, but Aurelia didn’t take her seriously. Ashley was so angry, but Aurelia acted as if nothing had happened. Ashley raised her hand to slap Aurelia. Aurelia was caught off guard, and her face instantly turned red.
At this moment, Beatrice sternly said, “Ashley, how can you hit someone? Apologize!”
Ashley had been spoiled. Except for Reed and Nathaniel, no one could control her.
She raised her hand and slapped Aurelia again.
This time, before the slap landed, Aurelia easily grabbed Ashley’s wrist and slapped her back.
“Ashley, Grandpa is still inside, and I don’t want to provoke you. It’s you who keep provoking me, and I can’t stand here and let you hit me.” Aurelia was taller than Ashley, giving her the
advantage.
Ashley struggled a few times, wanting to retaliate, but Aurelia gripped her hand hard, and she ‘couldn’t get free at all.
From a distance, it looked like the two were entangled.
Beatrice stood helplessly aside, trying to mediate.
At this moment, Matthew and Marcus came out of the doctor’s office and walked towards them.
Aurelia released her grip on Ashley’s waist, and the next second, Ashley pounced on her again, wanting to hit her.
Aurelia felt embarrassed and kept evading. Matthew and Marcus saw this scene from a distance, and it seemed like Ashley was chasing and hitting Aurelia while Aurelia kept retreating.
“Grandpa is still inside. How can you do this?” Matthew was obviously angry, and Ashley finally stopped.
“Dad, she hit me.”

Matthew said, “Shut up!”
Aurelia fixed her clothes, feeling someone’s gaze on her. She looked up and met Marcus’s eyes. “Uncle Marcus.” She felt a bit uncomfortable being stared at and called out to him to ease the awkwardness.
Marcus walked over to her. “Aurelia, come with me
“Go where?” She asked in confusion.
Marcus didn’t say anything and walked towards the elevator. Aurelia silently followed.
There were only two people in the elevator. Aurelia stole a glance at herself in the mirror. Marcus noticed it. “She hit you. Why didn’t you hit back? Why are you so easy to bully?”
Aurelia replied softly, “I did.”
