Chapter 23 You Mistook Your Wife
Nathaniel kept repeating Oscar’s words in his mind. Aurelia had thrown up in his car not long ago, and on another occasion, she had pushed him away when he tried to hold her. She mentioned taking a sabbatical and forbidding Nathaniel from making contact with her.
Furthermore, both individuals consistently take precautions.
Considering this, Nathaniel decisively replied to Oscar, “Improbable.”
Oscar seemed to understand now. Nathaniel was here today because he had slept with Chelsea
and felt responsible for her.
“Nathaniel, what about your feelings? Do you truly love Chelsea?”
Just then, Chelsea’s name appeared on Nathaniel’s phone. He stared at it for a moment before
ending the call. Chelsea had been calling him frequently, which had started to annoy him
Nathaniel didn’t express his love or lack of it for Chelsea; instead, he asked, “What do you think after eleven years?”
Oscar scoffed, “Stop pretending. If you truly love Chelsea, you wouldn’t be in such agony just
because you slept with her. You don’t desire her, do you?”
Nathaniel glared at Oscar and took a sip of his wine.
The two of them continued drinking until nightfall.
Recalling the awkward scenario of their last inebriated rendezvous that culminated in sharing a bed, Oscar, holding onto the vestiges of sobriety, promptly placed a call to Aurelia.
“Aurelia, your husband has had too much to drink. Can you come and pick him up?”
Aurelia had just returned to the Heilbronn Villa. She had spent the day outside and was a bit tired. Of course, she had deliberately distanced herself from Nathaniel, trying to make him fade
out of her world.
“Why don’t you call Zack? I’m not in a convenient position.”
“Nathaniel is drunk and keeps calling your name. He looks pitiful, not allowing others to touch
him,” Oscar exaggerated.
Aurelia finally agreed to come and pick up Nathaniel.

After drinking a lot, Nathaniel sat on the sofa and it a cigarette.
Oscar knew that Nathaniel was actually drunk, although he looked sober on the surface. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been forced to sleep on the same bed with Nathaniel last time.
There was a knock on the door. Oscar muttered, “I presume Aurelia cares about Nathaniel. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have come so soon.”
He opened the door and felt a moment of disappointment.
“Why do you come here?”
Chelsea walked into the room in high heels.
“Nathaniel, why don’t you answer my calls? I’ve been looking for you for a long time. I have to knock on every door and am almost harassed by an old man.”
Nathaniel put out his cigarette, rubbed his eyes, feeling a bit blurry, and saw multiple images.
“Why do you come?”
Chelsea pouted. “I come to take you
home.”
“Then let’s go. We won’t go back to the Heilbronn Villa today. We’ll go to the Bloom Villa.”
>Nathaniel stood up and looked around for his suit jacket. Chelsea picked it up and draped it over
her arm, ready to leave with him.
Aurelia witnessed this scene as she entered. Chelsea was supporting Nathaniel, and they looked
intimate, like a married couple.
“Honey, let’s go home,” Chelsea cooed, not forgetting to provoke Aurelia with her gaze.
Aurelia was stunned for a few seconds, then smiled helplessly. Chelsea was indeed very close to
Nathaniel.
She stepped aside and let them pass. As they were leaving, Chelsea whispered to Aurelia, “I’m
sorry, Aurelia. I’m taking Nathaniel away, making your trip here in vain. I’ll transfer you some
money as compensation later.”
Oscar shouted from behind, “You’re confused! You’ve mistaken someone else as your wife.”
Nathaniel staggered, bracing himself against the wall, and caught a glimpse of Aurelia standing there. Then he glanced at Chelsea. “Strange, why are there two Aurelias?”

He reached out and touched Aurelia’s face, gently brushing her eyelids with his thumb. Then he turned back to Chelsea and said, “No, this is you. The person just now wasn’t you.”
“Sweety, let’s go to the Bloom Villa today. We haven’t…”
“I want to hold you while sleeping.”
Nathaniel’s gaze softened as he stared at Aurelia, his eyes filled with the desire of a mature man.
Aurelia lowered her eyes, gently caressed her belly, and smiled. “You should go back with her. The Bloom Villa is empty, so it’s fine for you to take Chelsea there.”
Chelsea, on the side, was consumed with jealousy. Nathaniel had mistaken her for Aurelia when he was drunk at the Jade Community last time, and now, it happened again, and it was in front of
Aurelia, which she took as a humiliation.
“Honey, let’s go home. I’ll make you lemonade.”
Chelsea held Nathaniel’s arm tighter, constantly coaxing him, “Let’s go, Honey.”
Aurelia found her words amusing.
Nathaniel had been looking at Aurelia’s face all along. He let go of Chelsea’s hand and
reprimanded her, “Miss, have you mistaken someone? How can you casually call someone Honey?
Please mind your words and actions!”
Oscar laughed. “Aurelia, you should take him back right now. Nathaniel drank a lot today. He might lapse into oblivion later. It will be harder for you to make it at that time.”
Nathaniel nodded. “Aurelia, let’s go home. Why haven’t you left yet?”
He was relying on Aurelia today.
Seeing this, Aurelia felt that she had to take him back. Fortunately, when she came, she brought Jack, the driver from the Heilbronn Villa. She thought about her pregnancy and didn’t dare to carry Nathaniel who was nearly 6.2 feet tall.
She picked up her phone and called Jack. In less than two minutes, Jack found the private room.
“Mr. Heilbronn, I’ll carry you downstairs.”
Nathaniel glanced at Jack with some disdain and asked, “Who told you to come?”
Jack was so scared that he couldn’t speak and thought, ‘Do I come to the wrong place?‘

back.”
Aurelia didn’t want to hear Nathaniel speak again, so she asked Jack to carry him directly. But Jack didn’t dare, afraid of offending Nathaniel and getting fired.
“Jack, don’t mind what he said. Just carry him away. He won’t remember this tomorrow.”
Aurelia was all too aware of Nathaniel’s capacity for alcohol. He was in a state of complete oblivion now. Even if she pressed Nathaniel and bent him, he wouldn’t remember it tomorrow.
With Aurelia’s words, Jack forcibly carried
into the elevator, and Oscar followed. They
all left, leaving Chelsea standing in place, extremely angry.
“Aurelia, you wait!”
The elevator doors closed, and Oscar leaned over to chat, “Aurelia, you’re too honest. When dealing with men, you have to hold back, not give your all, and use some tactics.”
Aurelia smiled politely and asked, “What tactics should I use?”
“You should play cute! Men like it. Didn’t you see how that woman was talking to your husband just now?”
After Oscar finished speaking, he pinched his throat and imitated Chelsea’s tone, saying, “Honey.”
“It’s disgusting. Anyway, you should be gentle. A soft approach may be more effective when it comes to winning the heart of a man as powerful as Nathaniel. After all, few people in this city can be afraid of him.”
Aurelia smiled, “Okay, I’ll give it a try.”
Nathaniel sat in the car silently. He leaned against the back of the seat, feeling a bit exhausted. Aurelia looked at the street scene outside and realized that they were on their way back to the
Heilbronn Villa.
“Jack, let’s go to the Bloom Villa.” If Nathaniel went back like this, Reed would definitely scold him
the next day.
She didn’t want him to be scolded again.
Nathaniel slept all the way, so Jack helped Aurelia carry him back to the main bedroom.
It had been a while since Aurelia last came and stay there, and Aurelia felt that this place was a bit unfamiliar. She looked around the spacious room, and memories flooded back.

Another woman would now occupy the place where they had lived together for three years.
Aurelia thought of those nights when she leaned on Nathaniel’s chest,
and her heart was gripped by a pang of grief.
Nathaniel tugged at his tie, but it wouldn’t come loose, which only made him more agitated.
Aurelia knelt on the bed to help him untie it. She had done this many times before and was already skilled at it. With one hand, she gently loosened his tie.
Nathaniel gazed at the person in front of him in a dazed look, and his eyes seemed to ignite with
