Chapter 25 Nathaniel Didn’t Want a Divorce.
Nathaniel’s brow furrowed. “You seem to like comparing yourself with her.”
“My husband wants a divorce and then be with my sister Chelsea. Of course, I want to see what’s so special about my sister.”
Nathaniel’s expression changed, and he took a step forward, blocking Aurelia at the corner of the
elevator.
“What did you just say?”
Aurelia felt a bit nervous but met his gaze. “I was telling the truth. Chelsea is my sister.”
Nathaniel’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and he asked again, “What did you call me just now?”
Aurelia blushed for a moment, thinking, “This man is still trying to take advantage of me! Just then, the elevator doors opened.
“Can you move aside? I want to get out,” Aurelia said.
Nathaniel glanced at the floor number on the elevator wall and said, “Sorry, it’s not my stop yet.”
Aurelia was stunned. “But it’s mine. Let me out.”
Nathaniel calmly replied, “Then
go
ahead.”
But he didn’t move at all.
“You’re in my way!”
Aurelia watched as the elevator doors opened and closed automatically, and Nathaniel made no effort to move. He was deliberately making things difficult for her.
The elevator continued its ascent, and the number 19 lit up.
Suddenly, Nathaniel asked, “What if we don’t get a divorce?”
Aurelia was taken aback.
“You’re strange! Who brought up the divorce first?”
Nathaniel frowned, wondering how he had the patience to talk to her about this today.

“Can’t we just make do with each other? Divorce is quite a hassle.”
Aurelia snorted, “I don’t mind the hassle, but I despise sharing a man with other women.”
Nathaniel was annoyed. She had been in a bad mood lately, and it was all because of Reed’s indulgence. He remembered the absurd night at Chelsea’s place and couldn’t argue.
Wasn’t it too much for her to despise sharing a man with other women?
“I never thought about being with her. Between me and Chelsea… it was just that one time. I have no memory of that night. I might have been drunk. Think again about whether you want to divorce me, and give me an answer tomorrow.”
The elevator reached the 19th floor, and Nathaniel walked out gracefully after saying that.
Aurelia watched his retreating figure in a daze. Was he trying to explain?
She pressed the button for the 11th floor again and almost arrived late at the HR department.
Zack had already informed the HR manager, Rachel Roberts, to take care of Aurelia.
Because of Zack’s order, Rachel respectfully welcomed Aurelia into her office and signed the contract. After that, she personally escorted Aurelia to the 8th floor.
“Everyone, please quiet down. Let’s welcome our new colleague in the design department.”
The few colleagues who were discussing work instantly fell silent. They turned to look at the entrance. Rachel turned to Aurelia and said, “Aurelia, you can give a brief introduction of yourself.”
Aurelia nodded with a smile and said, “Hello, everyone. I’m Aurelia Semona, the new design assistant. I’m glad to work with you.”
The position of design assistant made her feel resentful. Nathaniel had indeed given her the lowest position in the design department, so she remained lowly existence in his heart.
After Aurelia finished speaking, there was a perfunctory round of applause in the office, which lasted for a few seconds before everyone went back to work. After all, this position was not worth their time to hold a welcome event.
Only Chelsea, sitting at the most superior seat by the window, looked displeased. Meeting Aurelia in the elevator earlier had already put her in a bad mood, and now seeing Aurelia join the design department made her even angrier.

She thought, ‘Aurelia is just a housewife. She doesn’t deserve a job in the Heilbronn Group’s design department at all.‘
Every employee of the Heilbronn Group had to go through five rounds of interviews with the presence of related leaders, and only the most talented people could be hired. The selection process was strict, especially for core department like the design department, where only talented
people could take the job.
Chelsea thought, ‘Aurelia entered the Heilbronn Group with the background of the Heilbronn family. That’s what she took from me.‘
Chelsea suppressed the discomfort in her heart and stood up with a smile.
“Let me guide the newcomer. You’re Aurelia, right? You’ll be learning from me in the future.”
As she finished speaking, the others in the office began to whisper and wonder at Aurelia’s good
fortune.
Rachel exclaimed, “Aurelia, take this chance. Ms. Thompson is a genius personally found by Mr.
Heilbronn overseas and is now the chief designer of the Heilbronn Group. She actually designed
the flagship product for this quarter. Ms. Thompson rarely proposes training new employees.”
Aurelia, however, seemed to be seized by her morning sickness again. She endured the nausea and
said, “Thank you, Ms. Thompson.”
Chelsea smiled triumphantly. “It’s what I should do. You can find a place to sit first.”
After Rachel finished her instructions, she left. Aurelia found a seat at random. The desk was
covered in dust, probably only used for a short time.
A friendly girl next to her handed her a pack of tissues. “Hello, I’m Tiffany Taylor, a recent intern,
and I’m also a design assistant like you.”
Aurelia politely thanked Tiffany. She had just wiped the table for a while when Chelsea called her
from across the room.
“Aurelia, come here.”
Aurelia put down the tissues and walked over. Chelsea leaned back in her high–end chair, with her legs crossed like a leader.
“I’m in a good mood today. I’d like to treat everyone to coffee. Can you buy it? Forty–three cups in total. I’ll transfer the money to your phone.”

Someone immediately tried to please her, “I’ve been looking forward to Ms. Thompson’s coffee for a long time. Today is really a lucky day.”
“The last time Ms. Thompson treated us to coffee was when she received a house from her boyfriend. The high–end apartment in the Jade Community. I can’t afford the down payment there even if I work hard for a lifetime. So, what good news do you have to share with us this time? Are you getting married?”
Another colleague leaned in and said, “Don’t talk nonsense. Ms. Thompson’s wealthy boyfriend must have successfully proposed. I saw Ms. Thompson’s ring that day. Do you know what brand it is? It’s a limited edition of Swan, the work of the legendary Lolly in the design world. She only produces two limited edition pieces a year. We’re all in the design industry, so I don’t need to say how precious that ring is, right?”
Chelsea looked at Aurelia, her face filled with a happy smile.
“We are indeed going to get married. I have already accepted his proposal, and we will get the marriage license after the company’s new quarter launch event. When we have the wedding, we will definitely invite you all.”
The crowd was envious, saying, “Ms. Thompson is beautiful, gentle, young, and highly professional. Her boyfriend is also outstanding and wealthy. When will fate favor us?”
Aurelia stood still for a while. Chelsea said again, “Go buy the coffee. Everyone is waiting.”
After that, she remembered something and said, “I just remembered. You haven’t gotten your access card since you joined the company, right? You can use my access card for now. This is our company’s access card, and you can have lunch with me at noon. You don’t have to thank me.”
A colleague next to her held her face, full of admiration. “Ms. Thompson is really nice to newcomers. It would have been great luck if I had met a teacher like you when I just graduated.”
Aurelia took the card Chelsea handed her and smiled calmly. “I understand, Ms. Thompson.”

She thought so and then opened the memo on her phone and made a mark on the calendar for the day of the press conference.

Aurelia turned around, and it was the girl who had just handed her the tissue. She remembered it and called out, “Tiffany?”
Tiffany ran over, panting lightly, and smiled, revealing her straight teeth.
“Let me go with you. You must not be able to find that cafe. It’s in a very remote location.”
“Thank you.”
Aurelia followed Tiffany out.
The cafe’s location was indeed remote. Aurelia felt like she was walking through a maze. After several turns, she finally saw a black sign in a corner that read Saturday.
She thought, ‘Is Saturday its name?‘
Tiffany continued, “Though the café is remote, the prices of the coffee here are not friendly at all. A latte costs more than twenty dollars, and we don’t usually come. Twenty dollars is better spent on a meal at KFC. But I heard that Mr. Heilbronn likes the taste of this cafe. You see, the women who come here to drink coffee are all hoping to meet Mr. Heilbronn.”
Aurelia was led into the cafe by Tiffany. She looked around and found that, indeed, all the women who came to drink coffee were wearing exquisite makeup, and these women would occasionally turn their heads to look at a certain place.
